Aight Folks, here's your official date for the 4x4cross Jamboree, May 22nd throu 24th, I have all the info now posted on the website, from camping to fee's to payouts, classes, rules, etc.

www.4x4crossracing.com

Let me know if I forgot something on the website, and I'll get it updated.

Once again thanks to the Big Dixie Boggers as the headlining club for the event, they will be running the Fri night Big Tire truck Pull and the Sat night Rock crawl so you know those events will be sick with there name stamped on it!!!

:driver::driver::driver:

Just to clarify, this is an entirely new course set up for the race correct? Could you maybe post up a pic or two of some sections of it, or can we stop by and check it out sometime?

any possibility in allowing lockers or welded rears only in the A class, I know alot of guys including me welded their rear for the last uwharrie race? Also any chance of pasengers being allowed, my co driver will be pissed:beer: Thanks again for gettin this thing goin

also can I enter the came rig in multiple classes, or do I need a different rig, or can I pay to run the same rig in the same class twice?

What about children prices are they the same as adults?

Good question hadn't thought about that, I'll get it figured out asap

Where is the registration form ???
Hopefully we can pick our own numbers. I just re stickered the car and would like to keep the number thats on it (its the same as last years BTW)
Rob

I don't have a prob with picking your own numbers, haven't gotten the registration form up yet, I'll get it done, gotta setup a paypal account for Uwharrie Adventures

Yes its a new course, its not done yet but your more than welcome to stop by and check it out whenever, I'm sure we'll get some pics up of it when its done

in May is the mud race the 4x4 cross

It will go on during that same weekend, but the Mud Race will be held Saturday just like it always is, the 4x4cross track doesn't interfere with the Mud Flat Track

Yea Dylan already jumped me on the rear locker thing, lol, I have no problems with it, I'll get it changed on the website, idk about the codriver thing, seems kinda unnecessary and just creates a larger chance of someone getting hurt, but I'm open to feedback on that point, its still early enough for me to change that

also can I enter the came rig in multiple classes, or do I need a different rig, or can I pay to run the same rig in the same class twice?

I don't have a problem with you entering the same rig in multiple classes, as long as you understand if it breaks and you cant race the second class it will be too late to refund the $$ at that point

I don't think we'll allow the same rig entered in the same class twice thou, thats kinda like buying your way to a better chance at winning . . . . like i said thou its early enough for me to change things so if you can talk me into it i might let it happen

Thats cool about not lettin the same rig enterin' twice in the same class. Thats how I got beat last year, I had the fastest time and the guy paid to run twice, second time he beat me. I was pissed, I tried to pay to run again but they said he had paid before the day of race. So I agree, I say you can enter your rig in multiple classes, but not twice in the same class.

I might enter two rigs though in the same class if my buddy gets his done in time! Thanks again

Hopefully I can get a tow rig lined-up in time.:driver:

My co-driver would be pissed also:lol: plus he keeps me inline and really helps with keeping cool while driving....just my .02

if the rig passes Tech, saftey for two(cage, belts, seat mounting, etc.)mabey a pass can ride?i wouldnt put a pass in my ride unless i knew they were as safe as me.

We just wanted to give a BIG THANKS to Ricky for all of his hard work and dedication. We are really appreciative of his help in making sure this event is much better than last years. The track is pushed off and looks great. Next step will be adding obstacles to make it more interesting. If any of you want to come out before the race and check it out, you are more than welcome, just please check with us and let us know you are here.
Thanks again Ricky!!!!!

I did'nt jump ya Ricky, i just told ya something. Besides, your a big ole boy, i'd have to jump ya with a bazooka:bounce:

Web-site is looking good. Great job on that Ricky.

Everyone should be getting pumped and ready. Remember, this year everyone will be able to watch and see if ya have any driving skills or not. Should be plenty of great vantage points to watch from.

ill put in another vote for co driver allowed. If its a big saftey deal just require cage and harness at tech inspection for there to be a passenger.

my 2 cents on the co-driver

If your vehicle is safe, both sign the waiver...it should be ok,BUT.. probably wont be any need for a winch person. If ya want the extra weight, or co-driver wants a thrill ride, then my opinion is it's ok.

I dont have the official say, this is my opinion only. We will have to see what the bossman says.

Yea myself and the rest of the Bottomland4x4 guys had a similar experience at the Sparta Mud Bog where some of the local guys paid to run twice and we had no idea that we could have done that - but w/e I'll prob go back there if they do it again next year, figured aught to keep that out of the 4x4cross thou

Dude I was just joking ;) Besides small guys are usually quicker anyway, you could probably sneak up on me or something :flipoff2:

Ok a few official answers to questions, I'll get the website updated shortly

Children that have to be carried in, ie: infants, get in free
Children 10 and under $5, 11 and up normal fee

Talked to the insurance folks - Codrivers have been ok'd with a contingency, their weekend entry and camping fee will not be included in the racer 4x4cross registration fee, ie: they will have to pay to get in like everyone else, and they will also have to pay an additional $25 to cover the additional insurance costs, driver can only have one codriver, codriver must be 18 years of age or older and have valid drivers license.

Signed up for paypal, should have the website setup for online registration within a week.

--------------------------

Bear with me on getting things done kinda slowly folks, last year Sean's full time job was to organize this race, and he had someone else doing the website. This year not only am I having to do it all myself as well as build/maintain the website myself, I have a fulltime job that I get up at 3:30 am for and don't get home till 6 or 7 at night so I have to do everything at nights and on weekends

Thanks,
Ricky

no doubt, if I was flying solo on my UREcross run, me and my adreneline would've been straight in the bushes at turn 1 :wheel:
Good to hear co-drivers are ok......
I only remember maybe 1 minute of the URECross race and that was my co-pilot yelling to turn and don't hit tree's......:driver:
w/o him I would not of finished:lol::lol:

Is this the same event that was on Rocky Mount Loop last year? Where is the new course?
