Official 4x4cross Jamboree May 22nd-24th

from and earlier post by Ricky:

Ok a few official answers to questions, I'll get the website updated shortly

Children that have to be carried in, ie: infants, get in free
Children 10 and under $5, 11 and up normal fee

Talked to the insurance folks - Codrivers have been ok'd with a contingency, their weekend entry and camping fee will not be included in the racer 4x4cross registration fee, ie: they will have to pay to get in like everyone else, and they will also have to pay an additional $25 to cover the additional insurance costs, driver can only have one codriver, codriver must be 18 years of age or older and have valid drivers license.

Signed up for paypal, should have the website setup for online registration within a week.

Thanks,
Ricky

as far as the pre-run, I can answer that.
Depending on how many people register and actually show up at the pre-run, we will determine how many times you go.
Obviously there is going to be a line and if you ran once you will have to go back at the end of the line.
I'm thinking two times around minimum but then again what if we have 100 rigs show up at the pre-run?
As far as other dates, this is the only day for pre-run April 11th

just looking over a few things on the 4x4cross site and have a few questions: the $25 fee for the co-driver, does that cover their camping for the weekend? Also on the pre-run day, how many times can you pre-run the course. And will there be any other chances to pre-run? Just curious.

nah that fee is simply the ride along fee to cover the extra insurance costs, co drivers still ahve to get in like everyone else.

You can prerun as much as you want on the prerun day as long as there's time for everyone to take their turns

there will be no other prerunning chances, to avoid giving anyone extra advantage on the course, just that one day

Are there any limitations on tire grooving for the A&B classes?

I thiought I pm'd you back about that . . .

yes groove away man, tires dont even have to be DOT as long as they don't exceed the size limitations

I got so much stuff going on right now, between my job situations and the 4x4cross and sponsors and advertising, sorry man my pm box is full i'll try to remember to clear it out and pm you back later tonight when I get home (to get my standard 3 hours of sleep :shaking: )

Thanks to 4wp of Raleigh and Charlotte for sponsoring as well :driver:

No worries. I'm not in any huge rush.

btw everybody in case you haven't figured it out Lorenzo has stepped up this year, he's your official race coordinator, I'm kinda just handing it to him at this point there's no way I could keep up with coordinating that right now anyway, the logistics of the overall event as well as my current job situation is bout to run me into the ground as is

Dylan will also still be helping as much as possible, he can't commit like he did last year but he has still been very involved and supportive and we can't thank him enough for the continued support

Is the racers rigs page on the website up to date? I only see 7 rigs entered.

2 in A-class
1 in B-class
0 in C-class
4 in D-class

OK, question about the pre-run. The vehicle I am racing is not quite finished so can I pre-run the course with another vehicle that is similar to the race truck? Also, what time do need need to be at the track on the 11th?

I dont see that it should matter ANY..what you choose to pre run in. Golf cart..horseback..unicycle or monster truck all you are doing is learning the course.

IMO if you pre run at full speed in your race rig...you are only going to add to your chances of breaking it before the race...just my opinion

that's it....It's not the first time you have mentioned this Dylan.

As a sponsor............

I DEMAND that you pre run the course on a UniCycle!!!!!!!
