One of those days (trolls living under my jeep)

Got on the throttle hard pulling into my driveway today, broke something in the driveline. I back up, pulled forward, tried front wheel drive, tried low, still had the noise/feel. No noise in neutral. Kept driving back and forth until something fell off. That something was the pin for the CV centering ball on my rear driveshaft.

And of course when I went to open the tire carrier to get out my tools, it was about 3 times stiffer than usual.

While laying under it pulling the driveshaft, I noticed that my left front knuckle (on the jeep) is starting to crack.

Also heard a funky clunk from the passenger side and found that one of my welds for my rocker skids was busted (fairly crappy weld from my college days, but it just adds to the fun).

Rear output of my transfercase is also hemorrhaging fluid at the rate of about 1/2 cup every 30-40 miles.

These are just the new problems from today, that add to the endless list. But I like to add them 1 or 2 at a time, not 5 at a time.

for me, every day the whole, Just Empty Every Pocket deal becomes more true.

Hate to say it, but for me, Im tired of the pockets always being empty. Gonna be getting rid of my Jeep soon hopefully :shaking:

Mine cost the shit out of me....It seems like it cost about 30 bucks a day to keep it operating.

Dam, sucks.

Ford D60 knuckle?

I think hes still got a dana 30

I am having the EXACT same problems! Must be a yellow Jeep thing... When you working on yours?

Yep, from an 88 model. I don't know if its from the hydro assist or what, but I was pretty surprised to see it.

I think it is pretty common for the driver side knuckle to crack because the factory steering arm mounts on that side. My driver side knuckle had a crack in it too (78-79 model). I replaced them with Dedenbears.
