Pics and Video from the March RockRace

O.K. I missed one helluva fun event :driver: but who won that cool trophy???:bling:

This was truly an excellent event. The course was awesome and well thought out. Ths Muddevils did amazing job of changing the face of their playground for this race. I hope we see more of this type of event in the future as well as some gated crawl comps.

Hats off to all that made this a great time.

this was as much fun as i have ever had in my jeep.,sure there have been great trailrides, but just going/driving that hard really got the adrinaline flowing...i needed that. thanks Mud Devils, it was a blast!!!

I would also like to add a BIG THANKS TO THE COMPETITORS for having there vehicles in safe working order!!!!!
BTW I still have some event shirts, if anyone is interested pm me. A big thanks to Mike from Albemarle Screenprinting , the shirts look great as always. If you need shirts for your club these are the guys to go to!!!!

Bigalow had the fastest time, he's from MD.
Any chance of getting the times posted?
Just kind of curious.
And good event. I have a few pics I'll post up later.
I managed to misplace my camera :) (Buddy stuck it in his bag by accident)

Cheers.

Herpie deserves an award, a yj on 33's owned that race, the least built rig out there i think had the 2nd fastest time. Goes to show some lockers and finesse (liberal use of the gas pedal) goes along way.

The competetors were awesome, i know i did not want to put my rig threw that abuse.

Had a great time, and amazingly didn't really break anything bad although i did blow out my front/rear output seals on the tcase, pass side front diff seal, front pinoin seal, and rear pinoin seal :driver:
will def come out for the next one, maybe I'll have a front locker and front shocks by then :shaking:

It sounds like you have a miss going on there too in the vids..

you dang right, herpie deserves an award.33s, 4 banger, skinny pedal, but most of all,DRIVER SKILL mixed w/ careless/fearless attitude. Not to detract from the suzuki drivers or myself(the black H-CORE TJ) I think all the small tire drivers rock and rolled. As for the big tire class,WOW!! You guys were jamming all day.Its got to be a chore wheeling them big ole bad ass machines.I hope there will be more events like this soon.Maybe tweek the rules a little bit,as far as timing goes,or hey, heres a great idea,Do three runs each and BEST AVERAGE TIME WINS.Im not sure about everyone else but i made 3 runs and my total time on course was 6 min 28sec.This would better reward consistancy, and make rollovers, breaks, and stucks more costly.Lets start a good old,FUN,debate. What do you guys think?

looks like a great time. i will have to get to the next one to see the action.

Had a great time caan't wait to the next open ride the first rock at the creek is calling my name

I want to thank the Muddevils for putting on the rock race. It was very well organized and safe for everyone. I would love to come back and try it again. I hope I provided some entertainment and definately some photo opps. Yes, thats me in the rolled bronco. Enjoy!

I think,.....it's Herbie, not Herpie

unfortunately, a little white out, very little creativity, and "I luv HERBIE" bumpersticker netted that little gem.

the only damage Herbie suffered was a slightly modified oil pan and I seemed to have bent a front leafspring somehow.
