I’m not sure and this may be way out there but if dogs are like humans there is a nerve bundle that passes through the respective left and right cochlear passage that controls that side of the face. Sometimes a cartilage growth can pinch those nerves and cause about what you’re explaining. My dad had to have surgery for it a few years ago.Been an expensive year already for the pups. Avery our oldest had to have a mass removed from his butt this spring... then he got pneumonia and after several trips to the emergency vet he pulled through. Only his chest x-rays showed a mass at the top of his lungs. After looking at all the options we are just going to let it ride. He is 12.5 and there are expected to live to be 12-14. And now that he is better he is acting like his normal self.
Then piper has lost all the muscle mass on her head that controls her jaw movements. The vets are perplexed because it's only on one side and so far isn't causing any issues. We are going back for more testing today. It's hard to tell in the picture but I can push down on her lower jaw from the top of her head.
I think they are doing x-rays today on her head. It's not effecting her at all right now. But I'd rather know what we are dealing with now then waiting till it effects herI’m not sure and this may be way out there but if dogs are like humans there is a nerve bundle that passes through the respective left and right cochlear passage that controls that side of the face. Just a thought…
Yes......I had a Chunk of growth removed from my inner ear. Took drugs crazy unexplained nerve pain, had teeth pulled and even had facial features mimicking a stroke.I’m not sure and this may be way out there but if dogs are like humans there is a nerve bundle that passes through the respective left and right cochlear passage that controls that side of the face. Got cut on and all that went away. First doc thought I was crazy, second did the surgery, non of them put two and two together until I explained my miracle change in pain. One was a inner ear specialist and the other was a quack in my opinion.
My doc put me on some meds, and a couple of weeks later I was having dizzy spells. I would just fall over randomly. She, and the head of the practice, kept telling me it was sa rate side effect, and it couldn't be the meds. They sent me to all kinds of specialists. I couldnt stop taking it because of the problem I was taking it for being life threatening. Finally, I went ballistic at an office visit and told them they were changing meds, or I was changing doctors. They changed the meds. Lo and behold, I stopped falling down.the ego in the medical field is ridiculous. I spent more than half my endo appt arguing with the dr that his understanding of hormone therapy is decades old and he needs to do more CE. Had to argue my case just to get some further diagnosis testing Im paying for done to better find out how the tumor is effecting my hormone levels, so i can better support the deficiencies while exploring healing avenues through diet, but he was stuck on exclusively discussing only the most extreme symptoms warranting exploration. Also i had to convince the dude that just because its not big enough to warrant surgery, that doesnt mean there cant be symptoms. He is under the belief that the moment it gets big enough then and only then do symptoms turn like a light switch - there is no potential for graduation of symptoms
Western medicine industry is a joke and hardly more than a criminal organization in bed with the insurance companies.
No we've called twice and the results haven't come back yet.@Loganwayne any updates?
