Pictures of your Furry Friends.

Dude, you’re the dog owner now. How could you let go of that sweet face?
$270 later... we learn she's not chipped and has hookworms and a skin allergy. We gave her all her shots, treated her worms, and had a checkup. They figure she's around 1 year old, pit bull/lab mix. She's also house broken, but currently staying in my garage.

Still no sign if an owner.

Daughter wants to keep her.

But we've three dogs already....

Sigh.

We're gonna end up keeping her. I just know it. And it's gonna be insane.

Someone probably turned her out to get rid of her. Humans fuggin suck. That's awesome of you to take care of her.

Agreed! I showed the wife this am. Her response is Molly doesn't play well with others.

Molly and I went outside she went straight behind the chair when we came in. She ain’t no dummy.

I woke up this morning and she was sleeping on my daughter's bed. (Because it was hot in the garage I was told, even with window fans and a nice rain outside....)

I would go ahead and declare her ours, but we've managed to narrow down the area the dog is from with some online help. I reckon I'll put some fliers up.

I've reached the point where I'm not opposed to keeping her, but if there is some kid out there missing their dog, I should try to reaquaint them first.

I would agree except for the fact she had some health issue that were untreated. Or am I understanding that wrong? I wish our Molly didn't think everything was a squeaky toy. She got out the other day probably a month or two ago. I found her with a baby deer pinned under her. She was just laying and standing over the deer but after I got her away the deer stayed. Probably scared to death. She likes to jump on other dogs heads and backs. I assume playing but with Sookie it was an instant fight.

We tried, but can't keep her.

Our little Malchi goes nuts around her and isn't getting any better adjusted. And my daughter would be absolutely devastated if anything happened to her little dog.

Our Mastiff's handle her pretty well. So she gets along fine with larger dogs.

But with no sign of any owner, we need to find a new home for her.

Anyone interested?

No rehoming fee for the boards. Just want her to go somewhere she'll be taken care of.

Maybe give it a bit more time? My two didn’t get along for about 3 weeks, now they are best buddies. Mine are beagles so not sure if it translates but the old guy hated the new guy until it just clicked one night at the 3 week mark. No idea why. Just a thought.

Average intro time for a dog is 3-4 weeks. Sometimes more depending on situation. It is the reason so many people rehome rescues so quickly. They don’t realize the amount of time it takes for a new introduction to the family dynamic can take so long to let their guard down and become part of the pack.

The first 10 days when we get a dog they aren't allowed off leash even to help bond them with us. It works really well, leash is on even inside the house. I think I have read it takes about 90 days for the dogs to settle in and everybody adjust.

We have had the little one now for 6 months. She is still a hellion but beyond sweet and loves to snuggle. Our other dog definately protects his sister now also, but also if she gets mouthy and we get annoyed by her will go and start nipping at her to stop. He is smart and knows exactly what is going on around her. She is toy possessive, so sometimes he will even go and get a bone, chew it, just to have her come take it so she has something to do LOL

Friends across the street breed Golden Retrievers. They had someone buy one of their pups but had to back out to take care of their daughter’s medical condition. The buyers decided they wanted to let someone else have the puppy as a gift….so my wife got a message the other night asking if we wanted a new puppy. Been right at a year since our old man passed…impossible to say no to this face.

Looks like a headache. I’ll give you $20 for it. :D

Well...

We had a nice lady interested. She meet up with us at the Greenway Trail, and played with the dog for about an hour. She owns an ice cream shop in town, and had a lab/pit mix as a kid that looked just like this one. Seemed to be crazy in love with ours.

But we were supposed to hear back from her today, and didn't.

So... who knows.

We may still end up keeping Luna. She sleeps on our son's bed at night and he's getting attached. Just gotta get the little rat Malchi to stop going bonkers whenever she hears 'Luna' whine or running around. But we aren't used to a dog that requires exercise, we're Mastiff people. Big, slow, and stubborn. That's our dog type. Not the active and energetic kind, lol.

Lab/pitt are crazy and energetic. Molly is 7 and still does zoomy circles when one of us comes home.
