Asleep like that

Managed to sneak in the front door this evening when I got home without my dog hearing me. He was in the bathroom with my wife. He rounds the corner, sees me, gets scared, and proceeds to do a top fuel burnout across the hardwoods trying to get away while yelping. Then he took a piss in the floor. Worst guard dog ever.

Hey Iā€™ve got an all black one that runs around here. Canā€™t ever get a pic of it though.

We should get them to mate. I bet itā€™d make grey
I was hunting deer In Apex and I saw a young jet black fox sneaky though some pines. I thought about shooting and would if it was older.

This is 'Buttercup'.

A Creme D'Argent rabbit we bought from breeders that came with actual pedigree papers.... (It's an old heirloom breed, only ~150 of them left in the US)

She got torn open by her companion bunny, "Charlotte'. (Who came from Rural King for $25.) They'd been living together for about two months now with no issues, but when I went to feed them this morning I noticed a big chunk of skin hanging off Buttercup's belly. Turns out that Charlotte savaged the crap out of her belly and between the legs, exposing some muscle.

Since it's my daughter's pet, we took her to the vets this afternoon to be either stitched up or euthanized. (I told my wife I have a sewing kit and a pistol, and could perform either operation on the back porch where we keep them... and she called me barbaric...)

She goes into surgery tomorrow morning.

Today was $268 to inspect, clean the wounds, and give us three types of meds.

Tomorrow's anesthesia and surgery bill is gonna be a kick to the nuts.

To make things weirder... I signed a DNR this morning on this bunny....

Sorry, I told them as I signed NO. I don't resuscitate my food.
