Pictures of your Furry Friends.

Looks like Roscoe is getting ready put the paw down on you for taking his pic..
He can also be very judgmental

My new hobby is spreading. My fish tank has found a permanent home upstairs because the wife and kids enjoy it as well.

So I decided I wanted a small aquarium on the bottom floor of our house where I write.

Last night, after much hand wringing over whether or not I REALLY wanted a second aquarium to deal with, I ordered an 'alien' betta and a few bottom feeders for it.

Should be here in a few days. But he's a magnificent fellow. Need a name now...

Based on the information provided, I propose the following:

The wife’s new pup AKA Girlfriend I got her for Christmas.

And this poor fellow defaults to “Mine” because he chose me over the wife.

Sarge just turned 11 on Christmas Eve. His favorite pastimes are sleeping, barking, and eating. That's my oldest son on the cot on our back porch, he hasn't slept inside since some point in October.

did I read this correctly? Son sleeping outside since October?? questions, questions, and frankly damn jealous.

I looked back, these pics were from January 7th 2021, we built this 'tent' then. Both my boys (8/6 at the time) slept in it for well over a month. The tent is about 400-500ft back in the woods (only the fire is visible from our house), I'd always go put wood on the fire around midnight. But it had a 'door' of sorts, just a piece of aluminum. But Sarge would stay inside with them so I wasn't too worried about coyotes, plus they had a walkie talkie. It's actually still standing in the woods but they haven't slept in it since ~March. Since they are back in school now (not COVID homeschool) it's too much of a headache, the back porch is much easier. Honestly, I was VERY impressed. I slept out there with them the first night and couldn't believe they stayed out there on their own from then on out. They wouldn't walk out there by themselves though.

Got my fancy Thighland Betta fish in on Thursday.

Overnighted from California after a two week wait. -eyeroll-

I bet that was a rough ride, and the box was pretty freaking cold inside when I opened it. But he was still alive.

His fins are clamped, he's got stress stripes down his side, and his color has faded. But that happens to them in extreme stress (and when they are in those little cups at PetSmart)

Since he's a 'steel blue', I'm calling him Zoolander. :D

In the furry world news.

I woke up last night, walked downstairs and immediately stepped in a pile of the gooey-est, smelliest, nastiest pile of dog poop I've ever had the displeasure of cleaning up.

Being barefoot, it went in between my toes.

I can live my life with that never happening again.
