pinging Jeeperz of NC

hey guys i had a blast today! thanks to Ray & Rob & Katrina for the spotting. Good seeing everyone again. I hope Jay got some good pics. We got a few pics but i still need to upload them. Hope Steve can get that axle fixed. i still can't believe I got up & down Dickey Bell without a scratch. Wolf Den to Falls Dam to Dickey Bell in a stock YJ. The map says Dickey Bell is a difficult trail and Rocky Mtn Loop is moderate? If so, then I would have had no problem on RML like you guys said, except for the ledge. There's always next time. :) I'm happy

Whats up guys had a blast today while it lasted. Got steve's jeep back to the tailer in one piece. He's now tellin me that the jeep gotta go and he is gonna get a k-5 blazer or 3/4 ton chevy to wheel in. Can't wait to do it again, but next time we gotta pic a cooler day.

We had a great time even though it was Hot (when I was out of the Jeep, Ac works in the Con) Glad everyone had fun and post up when the next trip will be. I just applied at Auto Zone for a parttime job for Gas Money.

Hey all....sorry I did not make it....got called to fly to Colorado springs fri night. Jut got back last night...Hope to see you all soon.

Whitey and I had a blast too even though it was squelching out there! Looks like we are headed out there again tomorrow, Tuesday, to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. Plan on hitting Daniel, RML first and then play the rest by ear. Should be fun but HOT again.

Corey, I thought you did really good out there for it being your first time. You might have been able to do RML okay but now you have somethin to look forward to for next time.

Sorry you couldn't make it Bruce. I was looking all over the place for a guy w/ kids but there weren't many kids there. Matter of fact, the whole place was pretty much dead. Must have been the heat, dixie mud boggers, and or graduation weekend that kept people away. Kodak was pretty much dead when we reached it.

Glad to hear you and your uncle got back okay Rodney. What did he break again??? Was it a rear axle shaft???

I'm ready to plan another trip soon. I'll talk to Rob and see when we can go and let you all know.

Katrina

Hey Katrina, As of right now we think either axle shaft or spider gears. Dont really know till we pull it apart later in the week.

I thought I did well also. I surprised myself a few times! Big thanks to Ray & Rob for the spotting most of the day. I know I kind of slowed things down a little bit, but I'm a quick learner ;). I was looking at the trail map that we had, and it said Dickey Bell was a Moderate Trail and RML was Difficult. We get back to the Mountain Market and looked at a newer map and it said Dickey Bell was the difficult trail and RML was moderate! If that was the case, then I would have had no trouble! lol But it does give me something to look forward to. I know I need to be a little bit taller next time or judge my lines better. Got some scrapes on my front pumpkin but not so many on the rear. Front driver side leaf spring U-bolts hang down further than the rest and that's what I got hung up on when we were passing the guy in the BMW X3. I'd like to see the pics you all got. I know you got some of me

Corey, we are working on uploading the pics and we just need to down size them. Maybe we can get to it today or tomorrow. We just got back from URE and got cleaned up. Now we are headed out for dinner. We only did Daniel and RML. Rob had a lot of problems on the top of RML so we spent about an hour there. It was hot but not as hot as it was Sunday. We did stop by the Mt. Mkt. but didn't see anyone we knew. Just some guy behind the counter.

pics of tray and one of ray's jeep. I had a good time, sorry if I cut the day short. Katrina and I took my parents up to URE today (6/10/08) too. Sorry there weren't more pics of you 2. Guess you were both so far ahead of us we didn't get a chance at pics.

Sucks he had problems on RML but glad ya'll got out ok. It's supposed to cool down here by the end of the week I believe. Thanks for coming by the store! You probably saw Casey - my bro-in-law. He works all day tuesday, IIRC. I'll be there in the morning and Ginni will be working the 9-5 shift. We'll definitely have to meet up again!
