I have aways set my pinion angles to be parellel to the out put shaft on the trans. That was with a mild lift. but now with the Cherokee my drive angle is a lot higher. So I was thinking about running a double cardon joint at the output of the t-case and point the pinion up towards the output yoke of the t-case.

Is there any problem with this?

That is the correct way to set it up for a CV driveshaft. Typically you want to be a degree (2 max) below the driveshaft angle to eat up any axle wrap under power.....
