Pex....while I hate to admit... has had a great track record. We're 20 yrs away from seeing a 50 yr real world test, but damned if it ain't impressive. The true weak point is the installer.
PVCs limitations are revealed when maintenance decides to drop in a snake intended for cast and shatter the pipe. But left alone, has proven to be a great choice in many applications.
