(please read) Can we help at Christmas? (NC4X4)

newest update - I went to Target last night and bought the boys a bunch of cool Nerf stuff. Footballs, indoor glow in the dark basketball, and nerf tag (guns with little foam arrows). Spent about $80 on it. We are finishing the cloths shopping tonight/tomorrow. Then on to COSTCO for food.

Also, the little girl loves Chris Daughtry from American Idol, so I made some calls, pulled some strings and I just picked up an autographed sticker that I am going to have framed for her. Anyone know the best place to get framing done in Greensboro?

I'm headed to Hickory to drop off my dog at the parent's before I head to the ECU bowl game in Alabama. Leaving the 22nd from Hickory. So, I'm in no rush on the 20th or 21st as long as I can leave from Hickory the morning of the 22nd to head to Alabama.
Keepers:
I'm assuming I'll be driving through Raleigh the 21st. Will that work??? We can work out the time if that day works for you.
Might be easier for me to take it since I'll be going all the way to Hickory, at least and can deliver if necessary. No need to load/unload more than once if necessary.
I'll bring it by unless someone can get it there substantially earlier.
Rob

Are you still coming through Raleigh on the 21st? I want to make sure I have the day right.

I bought them groceries and paper goods from Costco last night..........and the remaining money was sent to Chip for the young lady that he is helping.

Thanks to everyone, the items that I have will be delivered tomorrow at noon if anyone wants to join in. She did ask that not a ton of people come (fear of being embaressed?). I am leaving GSO at 12:00 and heading to Randleman 20 minute drive, unloading saying a few things and then heading back. Total time should be around 1 hour.

Update for the WNC family
To date, she has two full propane tanks, and an account for another fill up of them both.
I went this morning and bought $152.00 worth of groceries, I do believe she will not have cabinet space for them all. A good problem I think. With the other assistance she will be getting, I think she will be able to eat healthy, and thats priority since she is mostly breast feeding.
I will be meeting Rob on Saturday to take her dryer to her. Also, this morning while getting a haircut, I was telling my Barber about what we were doing, and low and behold, she donated a washing machine!
So, from the bottom of my heart, I thank each and everyone that had anything to do with helping these two families. It fills me full of hope that the world is not near as bad as it seems sometimes. I know the folks here in NC4X4 are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet anywhere.
Thanks
Chip Price

Chip,

give me a call early Sat. morning so I can get this dryer unloaded. Do I need to bring my pneumatic tire (off-road) hand truck???

I'd like to be back to Hickory by 11am. So, early enough to get up there and unloaded and back by 11 would work just fine.

Rob

Update, again. Rob met me in Morganton with the dryer and we took it to the Ladies house. She wasn't home, but we left it. I will be going back after Christmas and hooking it up for her.
Was great to meet you Rob, and Bri !

I forgot to tell everyone that I dropped the stuff off on the 22nd. My inlaws were in town since then and I forgot to update the post. The husband and wife were home together. She cried and could not stop shaking my hand and telling me thank you. I once again explained that it was a group of great people off the internet that love to 4 wheel and help people.

Thanks again to everyone,
Andy

Hope all families had a great Christmas.

Chip, thanks for the help unloading the dryer.

I"m sure I'll see you on the trails in the future (if I ever get the buggy done...)

Rob
