Police Entertainment

I would just like to point out that this is not a true statement about anyone who gets a CCW. Having a CCW does not make everyone model citizens.

So again, I do not know that someone with a CCW cares enough to follow the law...

.

That attitude of overt suspicision of EVERYBODY even CCW holders that are the epotime of law abiding citizens is the reason why alot of your salary paying public cant stand police officers. Yes i understand that you have to be on guard but damn CCW holders only want to feel safe and have the ability to protect themselves and their families. You KNOW that when you pull them and run plates. Yet instead of saying "wow only 9 cops shot NATIONWIDE by CCW holders" you say "Shit CCW holder, they have a gun!! Oh noees call the calvary.

Besides we all know that ticket writing isnt public safety it is revenue generation.:shaking:

I can't speak for everyone, but just because you have a CCW, that is not going to be the only reason someone gets a warning instead of a citation from me. There may be many other factors; the violation, your demeanor, etc...but a CCW, to me, is not a free pass from tickets.

Are you a police officer or do you have your CHP? No one said it's a get out of jail free card, but you're saying that because someone has their CHP they're automatically (based on that alone) more suspicious when in fact in the real world it's the exact opposite.

I'm an officer and have a CCW. I'm not saying they are more suspicious than anyone. I use caution when I make contact with anyone. With a CCW holder, I would say I would use more caution, but I would still treat them with respect. I'm not going to call the entire squad over to my location and search someone's vehicle just because they are packing. I will handle my business and send you on your way, unless they were doing something suspicious or out of the ordinary.

As far as that video goes, just goes to show there are bad cops out there, which everybody already knows. But there are good cops out there who go out and do their job. I do what I can to be one of the good cops.

Then point blank, you are a panty waist pu$$y...if a citizen exercising their rights threatens you I wish you would turn your badge in before you get scared and shoot someone...

Question what gives you the right to carry a gun and approach my car and expect me not to have the same odds?
Just becuase you stick a 2.00 fake bage on your shirt?

Dont give me the risk my life schpiel...at least you made a choice. I may or not have made a choice to have an armed man approach me....

I guess I am missing something here.
You state in your post you were driving with an expired tag so the officer stops you for a legit reason.
He does not tongue lass you, just gives you a ticket and even explains to you how to get it dismissed if you get your plate renewed.
He returns your pistol.
He has the right to control you and your passengers movement during to stop. So thats the reason for the no photo request. I guess you could have just turned around in your seat and took a picture from inside your car.
So this all takes place in about a total of 10 minutes.
So you are upset because a couple more officers showed up during the traffic stop?

Well said. You were stupid to get out of the car to try to take a picture, regardless if it is in your rights or not. Just sit there, do what they say. Don't get an attitude. You'll be fine.

I think I've actually met you before at western. I also think it's ridiculous that you would be more suspicious of someone that declares a firearm to you than someone that doesn't. But then, I also think that NC BLET is ridiculous...

Just clarifying, I did not state that someone who delcares CCW is more suspicious...i just use more caution

Is there any reason to have a concealed carry permit if you are an officer? I thought officers could carry with their official ID.

CCW also doubles as a purchase permit, so no more waiting for those at the sheriff's office.

Shouldn't you use less caution?
Remember that CC peeps took the time out of their schedules to take a course (typically with a officer) to get this license.

Do you use more caution when you pull a driver over with a drivers license or one who does not have a drivers license?

ok citizen is unarmed but would have been safer if he was

Does your vehicle look really rough or suspicious? I've never been pulled for a tag light, and one of my vehicles doesn't even have provisions for a tag light (though it should).

All the ones that I got pulled in were 100% beater trucks. Stuff most people wouldn't pay $500 for.

... and yet you didn't fix them after the 1st or even 2nd time?

Do you really have to be "that guy"?

On average I have more than 10 different vehicles a year. I've never been pulled twice in the same one.

ETA: When I get something new, the tag light still evades me when I check for stuff to fix.
