like profile says Lone Wolf....

Aggressive Krawlers ( Last of the Mohicans division )

BRC and UFWDA

As stated above, I was a member of CTB, United and Southern, but cant afford to pay my dues anymore.

<-----------still flying the colors though.

It will be interesting to see the results of this...

The guys who have lost their jobs / other major financial crisis I certainly can see dropping out for now (we see em having to sell off rigs etc to survive too, we know it is all temp, etc)

But I have a hard time believing those that wheel regularly that are at least not members directly of SFWDA, UFWDA, Tread Lightly, etc...something. Even if you don't like the local guys for some strange reason...send your cash on to the regional guys who are fighting to keep Tellico open, etc.

CTB is $65 this year... that is what, 1/4th of a single TIRE? What do I get for my $65... an automatic membership in SFWDA/UFWDA (which is about $35ish of the 65 if not more)

The other 25-30... goes toward some GREAT causes (charitable / helping out fellow wheelers, etc) some capital for tshirt buys, etc.

Not to mention, land access. There are some rides that I have access to land that the public cannot go to, but as a CTB'er I can go once a year, etc. That is worth the price of admission alone...

Welp, off my high horse...

Maryland Rock Raiders. Kind of, only been to 1 outing and haven't paid dues yet (Thanks for the reminder).
But there's pretty much nobody else up here close by.

I'm assuming the huge ponies put up for NC4x4 don't count ;-)

It's been my experience that most clubs are full of cliques and self righteous people who look down there nose at ya if you don't meet certain standards,so I avoid them.I prefer to ride with the same group of people though,in a unclub kind of way.I ride with J Sherman,Brad Barnes, and Redman 30-06 usually.

I tried the club thing years ago when I had a show truck, didnt last long.

i suppose im technically in Old North State Cruisers. My dues are paid up but i havent made it to an event yet and, i think i gave them the cold shoulder last outing for the chance to wheel with JC instead. hope i didnt ruffle their feathers.

As far as big cubs, i havent really made up my mind which one/decided i want to spend money on it. ive donated to ARRA recently but its been along time since i sent any real money anywhere like SFWA, been a while since i can afford...i can barely afford those tires SHinton spoke of!!!

Yes. Keeping CORE alive..............
I had a handwritten note slapped on the winshield of my old POS cherokee years ago to check out CORE, but I was a mall crawler back then and never did. No club affiliations for me at this time.

That is as bad as being a gun owner or hunter and not being an NRA member. That being said I guess I am that bad. I do still wheel my Jeep a little and 4 wheelers also and I am not a member of any club.

There is a lot of truth in this.

I'm a member of the JCCA - Jeepster/Commando Club of America, which is currently still dues-free, although it does rely on the sales of club shirts, stickers, etc, and the hard work of a lot of volunteers to keep things running, including the website. And while it's a national club, and I may never meet a lot of the guys on the west coast, many of the people I know on here were met through getting started there...
I guess there may always be some bad people in clubs, but I've met some great people through this one...

I’m a member of Upstate Cruisers and TLCA. UC is a great group of guys that have always offered me a helping hand when it comes to repairing/modifying my LC.
