I have gotten about 7” of rain at my house in the past 36 hours. Went driving around and saw some flooding. Post up your pics.

No pics...but the wife sent me video...there's a creek, a highway, the first row of houses in my neighborhood and another street before you get to my house...currently the water from the creek has flooded the highway, has flooded the first row of houses, and the water is midway through the street to my front yard. Luckily, it looks like it's done raining here and will have an opportunity to start draining.

Had a river running down the backyard right to my new woodshop. Luckily I had thought ahead and bermed the area right in front. Shop is nice and dry but half the neighborhood is cut off due to the creek flooding bad.

Every major interstate and road around Charlotte has had at least 1 major accident and major flooding. Damn email has been blowing up all morning long.:shaking:

Now attempting to clean up water in my basement. Never had that before. Fortunately I only had 4-5 boxes on the floor.

This was along 64 in Rutherford county. There is a small creek that run long it. I have ever see I out of the banks. The were a couple of driveway bridges taken out. On top of that had road closed for some reason which meant a 23 mile detour to get to work.

You just can't quite get that culvert sized right.
Culvert is sized correctly for typical expectations in a 100yr flood. problem is, we've had 7 of these 100yr events in 2 years.

Last year we set a record at 62" of rain....prior to this week, we were at 54" at GSO airport.

These are the neighbors behind me. Their culvert has been in for 10 years. 2 families share this "private road"

First house in the neighborhood, downhill from everyone else at about noon...and you can kinda see the street flooded up to the top of the curb.
