PreRunner to 4x4 Swap

i have to say i love waiting for updates in this build bc this is the next build i will tackle i only drive jeeps and toyota's and i must say urs is beyond on point its pretty f@#$ing nasty great job

Thanks, I really appreciate that!

Well here's you some updates lol

It's going to be a crazy two weeks. I kind of went on a part buying spree this past week. I'm doing 4.88's, solid pinion spacers, triple drilled flanges for the diffs and transfer case. I got a new Exide dual terminal deep cylce/cranking battery, LED rock lights, OTRATTW switches and new HID bulbs. I'm doing trunnion bearing eliminators, backing plate eliminators and slotted and drilled rotors. My goal is to have it all together by the 10th for our next URE run.

I'm going to do shafts in the spring. I should be able to make these last, worse case I have a couple of spare shafts to get me through.

Yeah man, just hit me up. If everything comes in I'm going to try to start on it friday/saturday

Are you going to do the gears or have someone do it?

I'm going to let Chance at Overdrive set them up. He did my 4.56's and I've hooked the truck back to back and been wheeling it the past 2 years with no issues. Plus he's pretty good to deal with.

Ight didn't know, still wondering when were gonna convince you to go 35's or 37's.

Probably a mixture of when I get chromoly shafts and when it becomes just a trail rig lol

33's are a lot cheaper, plus they do pretty good with the lil tars :p

We have switches!

I finally got around to pulling the 3rds last night. I dropped them off this morning and should be able to stick them back in this evening.

I was able to get my rock lights wired up along with the switches. I will try to get some pictures of them tonight. I dropped the center console off at MOBS Fab, he is making a panel for the switches.

Went over and helped Adam put the diffs in and rear axles.

Saw you rolling down 49 this morning, looks awesome!

Those rock lights worked really well this weekend! Nicely built truck, made up everything with ease.

Nothing new, but as soon as I get my tax money back I believe I will be swapping out all the joints on my links. TG joints aren't working out too well, I've had two go bad and I believe I have another one heading that same direction. I'm going to go with some Johny Joints and hopefully that will fix the problem. I think I'm about done with the ole Prerunner, other than just a few odds and ends, here and there. I would like to start another build sometime this year. Not sure on what I want just yet but I'm sure it will be Toyota

I just spent an hour reading this thread. .I'm a slow reader:( your truck is awesome. Lots of hard work on that thing. I'm jealous of you and Jarrett every time I ride by carquest. need to get old red in gear and start working on her. Y'all hiring a part time worker? Jk.

Man its been awhile since anyone has posted on here, any chance I can get an update. Its been 3 years since the last one so unless you sold it( i doubt it) it must be looking good.

He still has it but nothing has changed, hasn't been wheeled in a couple years now.
