And some of the brackets that are going to be used. Lower shock/link mount, I think they are Balistic? Damien mix matched between Balistic and Ruff Stuff.
Well here's where we stand... it's very tight in there and keeping it as low as I wanted isn't looking too good. Instead it's going to be 5-6 inches over stock, about 2-3 inches over where it was, which i can live with.
I had to choose between stretching it 3-4 inchs, keeping it low and having to trim fenders VS. or keeping the the axle stretched 1 inch, having it a little bit higher, and not having to cut the fenders. It really isn't as bad as the pics look. Plus I'll have some adjustment with the coilovers, so we'll see how she turns out.
I'm getting anxious to see how she turns out. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to end up doing in the rear... I am going to try to rebuild/add to my stock pack and probably run a 1.5 or 2 inch shackle.
I'm sure you're aware - but just in case, keep in mind that the amount you move the front forward (your "stretch") also effects how things line up with the steering. E.g. the throw of the pitman arm/idler, center link, etc. Are you moving the box too?
Yeah, the box will be the last thing mounted, but we have been checking clearance with that. It's going to be tight, but I think it will turn out good. It will be a lil higher then I had originally planned, but nothing too crazy.
Was a productive day... I showed up at M.O.B.S. Fab today at 9 and it turns out Damien had a few issues to resolve so he said he would be a while. Had a special guest show up and shoot the bull for a while. Went and got a bite to eat and then he had to head out. Damien showed up around 1pm so by then I had the new leafs that I was going to swap in sanded and rustolium-ized
Shortly after that our guest showed back up along with jerretxx to see how the pile of hell was coming... We had some fun and were able to get a few things done. Hopefully she will be done around the first half of next week, but we shall see
