For those of you who know Jason, I finally will post pics of the very soon to be 4wd jeep(putting in front gears now) and this is some pics of his recent escapade of chopping and cutting, welding and what not, lol. I personally think he's doing a great job on this XJ, it looks finished not just cut up, still have lots of work to do though. Like sheet metal, spot welding and paint of course. It will be black above the blue tape line after we finish all the way to the roof doors and all.:bounce2:

finishing up the gears this weekend, been a while since ive set a r&p up about 3 years, oh well its like riding a bicycle... not, he's going to have 4.10's, those are 39.5" iroks and a lift that patrick and austin did, This xj has come a long way in the past year and hope to go further, he's using a twist style lock with lexan on the rear glass, and we are going to use the stock bottom of the rear seat and make a custom back, because who's going to ride back there for comfort???, tire will be mounted inside the tire carrier, the spindle used well... can hold your whole body standing on it swinging out, nice to have a good friend up the street with a milling machine and lathe. and some more mods will come, now that i can post pics, i wont stop, lol.

more pics dont have to click on them now wee...

updates from today little bit closer, gears should be finished this week have to go to work dont have lots of time.. hate that

more pics

carrier will hopefully be going in tommorow need to add a shim or 2 for correct pinion depth. then get to play with backlash and tooth contact... why cant all axles be removable third members? integral isnt so much fun

tool boxes rule...

yeah dont start, gotta feeling that'll be about the time i get this front set up , he'll want to buy lockrites or something, maybe this chop job will keep his mind off those, lol

thats a knarley jeep! Cant wait to see the finished product. I read through this fast but did you say you were putting slidding glass in the back or a roll up operation?

just lexan with twist style locks, that way you can take it out and be a little more safe and kinda cool too. Plus saving on wieght a little but losing the savings on the sheet metal and angle iron, the rear is so much more stout now, you can grab those rear bars above the tailights and shake the whole jeep, it really looks good i cant wait to get it done either, he'll be in such a better mood, lol

more pics

here's some more updated pics of bondo job and what not and finally finished gears. wooppee!!!!

custom bondo spoon

Jason, looks good...do not spend too much time on the bondo, as it will not matter once you ride with Chris, David and me...Hopefully you are ready by Harlan
oh yeah, do not forget the Lite's!

Fred got your buggy complete yet?, and I think i told Chris that Im not going to be able to get the winch, kinda tight right now
