Last september I picked my jeep up because of an unfortunate series of events. The kinds best shared over a cold one and a camp fire. So anyway I've always loved these models. Mine's an 04 special edition

My plans are not to really reinvent the wheel...more be the guy than came out with 30 inch rims because he knew someone would love it.

( VHT silver wheel paint, 250 degree chip resistant)

Once I had everything together it was time for screwing, nutting, and bolting ( lol I crack myself up)

Had just left the alignment shop on may 10...red XJ I'd Metal Man's Thing Two...I was picking up my Tom Woods front drive shaft he had shipped in to his work. So I installed that and the first Saturday it was ready just so happened to be top less jeep saturday so Freeman Park is where I went.

Did just fine...pulled some kid in daddy's Z71...greatest part was asking how he felt be pulled out by a grand cherokee....cause he was buried frame deep with the tide rolling in lol.

Sooooo.....Memorial weekend, time to stretch it's legs.

I snapped a sway bar link and popped out a coil spring. As of today sway bar links are being built, curved 42" light bar brackets being fabbed up, spartan locker for front will be here Tuesday as well as diff armors front and rear, coil spring retainers will be in Monday, few smaller things to do before next friday 6/5 when it's off to URE again.
I'll be building my own bumpers...mean, staught, and clean!

Little light bar will be integrated into stinger, smaller lights in rear bumper which will have rear tire swing out, 4 point seat belts for the churrins in the back seat, future stuff is full skid system for everything ( answer your questions with yes), dana 44/9" combo that will get the full treatment ( really not going to spend anything other than what I have to on present 30/35...spartan for front is to get this pigs front end over rocks), clean exo, ditch Quadra Trac in favor of whatever I come across that suits my needs at the time..., sye for said transfer case swap and read Tom woods to match front.

Already have kicker system, cold air, and flowmaster.

Pictures of future upgrades and add on will come but that's about as up to date as can be. Hope yall like it.
 
Thanks blaze. Yea it's a little different. I appreciate your help as well. (AC stuff too). Keep an eye out for the t-case stuff too. You know you'll have a sale here. How's the scrambler coming? Saw all the bed liner stuff?
 
No worries but, glad to help. :) I'll let you know on that tcase stuff too, haven't had any come through here yet. Need to get a couple more WJs in, my yard is full of ZJs and XJs right now.

Scrambler is getting there, I hope to spray the underside liner this weekend. Hopefully in the next few weeks it will be in paint and I can start putting it together, will hit you up about that stuff we talked about on it too. :)

A couple pictures from last weekend. Bent a trac bar heim joint, so gonna get that replaced and the locker in...tidy up a few things, wash and detail finally, and then it's back to uwharrie again in july. Have a few things that I'll post as I get them done. Our club is doing a wrench day Sunday so locker will probably go in
 
Ok it's been a bit since an update...
Spartan is in the front...
Jeep is resting for a couple weeks to have its front bumper fabbed...
I enjoy building them in my spare time and to put it lightly I'm throwing everything I've got at it, I'm going for something not seen on a WJ before...then it will be about time for our July run. I'll post some pictures of the fab process as I really get into it...in the mean time I picked up a few more goodies


1)10k HIDs

2)vinyls for the hood to cut down on some glare
3)tuner for multiple purposes.

I had this same setup for a little bit...I couldn't get the front shafts to stay alive with the 35's + locker. I think I broke at least one of them every time out, and I'm pretty easy on my jeep.
 
Thick angle and plate little notching and bracing and a rcx8 is tucked in behind...now having a plan before any other cutting metal.
It sticks out about 2 inches further than stock out front but really no where else...cardboard templates gotta love it
