The no stinger look is definitely better, unless it’s tied back to the a pillar and the dash bar, they really don’t do much

No comment on functionality. I’m just really not a fan of the overly large pointy stinger look. If I feel froggy enough at some point, I may fab up a more subtle stinger for it. But I dig the clean low profile look of it right now.
