OK guys, here is your chance to race my recently completed buggy in Class C of our upcoming race, March 20, at The Devil's Playground!!!
Some of you may know Jody Childers (Big Dixie Bogger member). But you may not know that he was severely burned on multiple parts of his body about a week or so ago. I heard about Jody's situation and that the Big Dixie Bogger guys were raising $$$ to help him out. It is awesome that the BDB group does this and ECORS wanted to help!
At the upcoming event at DPG, the Big Dixie Boggers will be collecting donations to help out Jody. For every $10 you donate, your name will be put into a hat for your chance to race my buggy Saturday afternoon in Class C. If you give $10, your name goes in the hat once. If you give $100, your name goes in 10 times!!! Upon completion of (or nearing it) of the Class B race, we'll pull a lucky name out of the hat of people that donated. That person will get the chance to race in my buggy for Class C this Saturday!
Don't worry if you don't have a helmet, we'll provide you with something that meets the rules. Also, I have a 2 layer fire suit that is available for added safety. All you have to do is donate for this great cause to help out Jody.
Whoever gets chosen can race or give it to anyone they want if they feel like they don't want to do it. Whoever gets behind the wheel MUST be at least 18 years old and must sign all the waivers just like any other competitor. You must be present to drive (obviously). To top off our efforts, if this driver places in the top 3 and wins $$$, the winnings for whatever place you finish will be given to the Big Dixie Bogger guys to help out Jody.
If you want to help out but cannot make the event or don't care to race the buggy, feel free to contact the Big Dixie Bogger guys or you can get in touch with me and I'll get you in touch with someone so you can help out.
Don't feel like you can't race because you won't have any support. The Big Dixie Boggers will have someone to be your co-driver to help you out if you are new, to pull winch cable, to stack rocks, etc. Also, I have an array of spare parts for my buggy and tools enough to fix most moderate issues you may have during the race. We'll get some good help to assist you in the PIT area if necessary with spare parts, tools, etc.
If you are curious about the buggy, I somewhat have a build thread on here but its not too detailed. It has a 2004 GM LQ4, TH350, D300 w/4:1, D60 front, 14 bolt rear, 4 links rear and 3 link front with air shocks and 47" LTB tires on H1 double beadlocks. It has a 16 gallon tank, so you should be good with fuel for most if not all of the race. Its already done all of the Class C course without winching, so I know its capable of doing well
So, you now have no excuses not to come and help out Jody!
Come out, have fun, and donate to an AWESOME group of guys for a great cause. I can put my buggy on the line to help out, come out and donate a few $$$ for Jody!!!
