Random pic thread.

Y'all got the covid?

Not sure yet. One of my crew leaders at work tested positive which means his whole crew as well as me (coordinator) are off site for 14 days and have to get tested. Unfortunately, due to GCs rules even with a negative test we are off site for 2 weeks. Since both my sites are rhe same GC, im screwed and so is my schedule.

Tested this morning, should know something in a few days. No symptoms, so hopefully its negative.

Update: came back negative. So now I'm just out of work for 2 weeks.

Long day so far. Time for a break. 22 bags of concrete and nearly 2 tons of rock down.

Looks great, were you able to get the stone from your own land or buy it somewhere?
Thanks. Got it right where it was, hahaha!

To answer your question though, I got it from a local landscape supply place.

I quickly threw it out last September so we would have something other than dirt to walk on. I wanted to put it in concrete or mortar then, but the wife wanted to put it on dirt and fill the gaps so it would have grass growing between. I told her it wasn't a great idea.

Guess who got the "opportunity" to do it twice :(

At least I can make her mortar all the joints now

I actually have a HF mixer, but I apparently have friends who care about me enough that they will bring me their mini skid and mixer. :D

(In exchange for using the chipper for the weekend of course ;) )

((I need to get some more relaxing hobbies))

Break is over. I was really hoping the shade had made it a little further

Stamped concrete would have been a helluva lot easier.

You should be getting paid for that time out....

I am, but only for 8 hrs. Normal day is 12-16 hrs. It could certainly be worse.

I did'nt think you would be the kind a guy to put the Carolina squat on your truck o_O
You've obviously missed the dozens of other pictures I've posted of it in the double mobile thread :D

Found a pic from last September. It rained from this day until about May 2020. A lot has changed:

So whats the problem?
You tested negative, enjoy your two weeks of not having to work.

I hate to see you job go sideways and hate to take the financial hit.

Not the end of the world, but it does suck.

Still have one more pour? When are the doors arriving?

Yep. Last floor section gets poured tomorrow. Doors are here. They were delivered when the building was. Two 12x12 insulated sectioned doors. Couldn't do insulated roll ups. Too large of a diameter.

Life lesson: there is not any epitaph on any tombstone in the world that says "I wish I spent more time at work".
