That’s always been my perspective...bust my ass for 20-30 years...then do whatever the hell I want while the vast majority still have 15 years until retirement, and when they do, then have to count pennies and rely on social security.

No, cage goes down through the tub. It is tall, roughly 3-4" over a stock TJ cage. Joe was tired of hitting his head getting in and out along with room for a helmet for when things get rowdy.

Could have used one of those 2 years ago wiring solar farm meters for Duke! Carrying 8 1,000' rolls of copper by hand is for the birds!

All I did was run a piece of closet rod (about 5/8"-3/4"-ish) thru an unused set of holes on my thumb. It's a sort of a snug fit on the rolls, so they don't spin too freely and tangle. Washer and cotter pin on each end. Couple of 3/4 PVC spacers to keep the spools from catching on the other pins and junk on the backhoe.
Did something similar to spool off Romex. Bolt it thru the center of the roll, then cut the plastic wrap off... Used it last week to run some the length of the crawl space. No kinks, no tangles. Pulling it from the center of the roll is for the birds.

I wish everything was wireless when I pulled about 10 million feet of Cat5 (and STP before that, and twinax, and coax, and ....and....)

@obullfish came down off the mountain to pull cat all thru my place to every room X2 and to the control box. I was so happy. Once it was finished and ready to occupy, AT&T ran fiber to me, and then proceeded to set up a total wireless system
