Random pic thread.

I see no issue.
Same! Took my old Honda Aacord hunting once & ended up dropping a doe. Lined the trunk with a tarp, folded her up & threw her in...ain't no shame in my game!

I put 2 does in the back of my PT loser last year. Put them in big trash bags and lined the floor woth a tarp. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

Dropped by Matt Kenseth's "compound" today, as he's extending his shop. He's not as fancy with his living quarters, as some of the other Nascar drivers are. More about privacy & comfort. At a former employer, I helped with the grading work, & meet Matt once. Never seen the whole house, shop, or anything, though. The house faces the street, but he built it for the rear view. Probably can't see in the picture, but the rear view is like the mountains or foothills! Sits just outside Davidson, on the Rim, of the ancient Volcano, centered about the Charlotte Motor Speedway. [If you didn't know] Contractor there said Matt is fixing to develop a 100 acre adjourning property.

So, my wife and daughter ran some “errands” today. I had no idea what they were up to. They came back home with this little dude. I introduce to you, Duke. He’s 100% mut.

What do you guys think? He looks like he’s got some hound in him to me. He certainly has a hounds attitude. He’s lazy as heck. He lounges all day and night. He’s not a normal amped up puppy. I have no idea what mom and dad look like. Im just guessing.

I need that
I had one but they were usually too expensive to buy more. Target put them on sale and she bought three so we'd have a full set.

These things have been a pain in the arse. Glad they're done.

Work is slow right now. So I'm doing some research for my third book on Maxim machine guns.

This rabbit hole of research lead me to the first caliber it was chambered in, .577/450 Martini-Henry.

Kind of neat, so the .577/450 are the middle two cartridges. Originally, 2nd from the left, the cartridge was made of coiled brass sheet metal, with a paper patched bullet, and a layer of beeswax beneath the bullet. Apparently the cartridge was notorious for coming apart in the chamber so they went to drawn brass casings(3rd from left) in 1885.

Anyways. I'd never heard of coiled brass cartridges, so figured I'd share.

Pew Pew folks.

This morning a truck GPS guided him into our street for some reason. He was trying to get to the industrial park that is thru the woods from our neighborhood. Our culdesac was not big enough for him to turn around a 53’ trailer, and he took out our mailbox and got stuck in the mud in our front yard. I think I counted 7 different times the recovery truck had to hook up to him to get him out. Then he had to back up 1/2 mile thru two 90 degree turns to get out of the neighborhood.

Over the road drivers don't have the nickname "steering wheel holders" for nothing. A US foods or Sysco driver could have made that turn in a cul-de-sac half that size.
