Introducing the kids to "Taco Man". Ta-co, Ta-co Man....John's got to be a Taco Man.
Guess what we're having for dinner?
I built the wall that divides the shop and man house, too tall for wood. Plus he has a trophy room in the basement that was round we put a ceiling in there too. His second house (man house) on the property is bigger and nicer than my house 10x over. Its the one on the right b4 you get to the main houseDropped by Matt Kenseth's "compound" today, as he's extending his shop. He's not as fancy with his living quarters, as some of the other Nascar drivers are. More about privacy & comfort. At a former employer, I helped with the grading work, & meet Matt once. Never seen the whole house, shop, or anything, though. The house faces the street, but he built it for the rear view. Probably can't see in the picture, but the rear view is like the mountains or foothills! Sits just outside Davidson, on the Rim, of the ancient Volcano, centered about the Charlotte Motor Speedway. [If you didn't know] Contractor there said Matt is fixing to develop a 100 acre adjourning property.
This morning a truck GPS guided him into our street for some reason. He was trying to get to the industrial park that is thru the woods from our neighborhood. Our culdesac was not big enough for him to turn around a 53’ trailer, and he took out our mailbox and got stuck in the mud in our front yard. I think I counted 7 different times the recovery truck had to hook up to him to get him out. Then he had to back up 1/2 mile thru two 90 degree turns to get out of the neighborhood.

The red house, wood panel I think? I wonder why that house was there! He's got a shop [I think] around behind the red house, where the current work is ongoing. I never got out of my truck, so didn't see much. I Do remember we laid out the graded area for his shop, but don't remember the red house. Its the one on the right b4 you get to the main house
Agree! Not sure how or where he started turning around, but looks like he was trying to jack into the gravel driveway. Seems like he could have hugged the left side of the cul de sac, & made the U turn with the tractor, while letting the trailer simply spin around on it's axis. GPS, will fool you! I go to places where it's telling me I should be in the woods! Usually, it's a house built Behind the front house, or back in the woods, several hundred feet from the driveway.Over the road drivers don't have the nickname "steering wheel holders" for nothing. A US foods or Sysco driver could have made that turn in a cul-de-sac half that size.
That’s exactly what he was trying to do, back it into the gravel drive across from us.Agree! Yeah I think it was red, been about 6-7 years. Just outside of Cornelius, kind of in a curve on the road, drive back a few hundred yards, shop/house is split level on right, then main house is a few more 100yards directly in front maybe a pond to the left. There was a maybe 30 by 60 or 70 foot shop. 8m sure he probably built more since then. The red house, wood panel I think? I wonder why that house was there! The GPS seemed to be in the Christmas Spirit, over the river and through the woods! This morning a truck GPS guided him into our street for some reason. We floated em down the flowing part of the creek too, but no pics because I was chasing them with a stick so they wouldn't get away.
Nothing about this was planned or well thought outId put some fishing line on it so they can stand in one spot and the boats can fight the "white waters"
Thanks, I'm warming up to it too. Definitely the same size tires front and rear. The black fender flares, shadows, and more clearance are playing with the illusion. Here's another shot of it just sitting there looking like the tires are the same size.Optical illusion or are the front tires that much bigger than the rears?
Also, I’m digging that truck.
You're a damn good dude KenMaking kids smile. Fire pit for smores and snow to play in
