Day 3 of my 13 days of Christmas (vacation):
Did an excellent job of not‐much on this rainy morning. Finally got going after lunch. Put a new petcock on the Honda XR100. The ethanol or something had completely deteriorated the screen, so I had to fish those remnants out of the tank too. And of course it completely gummed up the valve portion too. Also cleaned the carb up. Little booger started on the very first kick. No pics, but I wish I would have taken some of how much crap was in the tank.

Then I remembered I needed to make a Christmas present for my mom. This was 2pm, and we had to be at their house by 5pm tonight.. She had mentioned a cutting board, and I had some nice air dried black walnut sitting around, so I threw it in the bandsaw and got it sized up. Sanded it down, sanded it some more, and then sanded it down again. Then I sanded the corners and edges, then sanded the faces again, then sanded the edges some more. Then when I got done with that, i sanded it for a bit. Then I told the wife I needed some oil for a cutting board I just made and she said it would take days to soak in. I said "psh" and oiled it up anyway. Being the industrious and impatient person I am, I went out to the garage and fired up the heat gun. Worked like a champ. I was able to get 3 coats of oil done in about 45 minutes. This was between coats:

Then we headed over to the folks house and had a good time and a good meal. Hard to beat homemade mac and cheese and honeybaked ham.

Everybody got some nice things, but the little guy was probably the happiest! He "opened" all the presents with it.

Then came home and got everything prepped for the morning.

Thanks, I'm warming up to it too. Definitely the same size tires front and rear. The black fender flares, shadows, and more clearance are playing with the illusion. Here's another shot of it just sitting there looking like the tires are the same size.

There's a Pretty truck with the flatbed on it up at Triangle, where their selling trucks. It's burgundy, but don't remember if it's Cheby of Dodger. Shinny!

@jeepinmatt a quick note about cutting boards. They are usually made of Maple because it is a closed cell wood and therefore don't hold bacteria like a porus species will.
It doesn't matter. It will be "too special" and she will never use it anyway
