Mr Stinkbug was not as excited about the hotwheels track ramp as the kids were.

This short sword is actually an uber-rare Bayonet designed by Lord Elcho for the Martini-Henry Rifle back in the late 1800's. Since I bet getting a saw toothed bayonet rammed through your guts sucks, it is going in my third book and wielded by a character that is based off Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. (Many of my secondary characters are based off historical figures.)

I found an old auction site where one went for 3 grand, and I wish like crazy I had that sort of money to spend on cool armaments like this. (With my luck, my kids would take it outside and use it as a machete to whack weeds or something though.)

You just need to sel lenough books that you do that sort of money.

Having an archeic peice that is a fixture in your own published (and popular, it meant you can afford it) would be uber cool.

You sir, are entirely correct!

It's gonna be a toss-up between a Gatling Gun and a Cannon though for my first purchase. :)

Dump you a few loads of ballast stone on that rd make life a lot easier.
Got to make it 4ft higher first. I can't wait to get rock on it though. Making the 3/4 mile walk to the equipment is getting old. Getting closer though, almost got the top road tied into the bottom road and I can start trucking dirt down there.

Make sure you pack it in dang good. 4ft is gonna sog, sag, and settle. If you drain it right, it will be fine, just make sure there are no spots that stay wet.

Can't you just throw some hay on it? That's what the DOT does.

(Use sarcastic inner monologue voice)

Any compaction tips. I know my equipment doesn't have much ground pressure so I was planning on running over it with my dumptruck fully loaded. Planning to do it in 6inch lifts, I'd love to have a pad foot but it's not in the budget.

For the funding love of pine trees. This is the 4th BIG pine I've had come down at my house in the past year. Got about 20 left and they're all coming out as soon as the danged ground will dry up enough to get to them.
