That is some amazing land up there. When I decide to leave the NC, this is exactly the view I want and I'm closer to my wv home.I’ve got 2 groundhogs already cleaning their holes out View attachment 336870
You Lucky you had a chair! Damn QT, took up their outside chairs & tables. Who said you can't sit Outside?Met up with a buddy for lunch yesterday. It was supposed to be 60-something degrees, but was actually 40-something. And those dang metal chairs were cold. Solved that problem.

Always keep a sipper bottle in the shop for moments of frustration, reflection and celebration.
Wow that's how my shop time goes too. Those three come in that order too. Frustration always first, grab a drink. Reflect over several more drinks. Frustration gets gone and is replaced by celebration over having drinks in the shop. End result, no actual progress gets made on original project though. It's a vicious cycle really.Always keep a sipper bottle in the shop for moments of frustration, reflection and celebration.
Right out of the bottle in the shop.now just dont put no ice in it
Wonder if N Tryon st was as ruff back then as it is now?Ah, the Good ol Days! The prices would knock your socks off. Or, in Jody's case, Crocks!
Id kick every washer through that bar grate like a boss. The views at work sometimes are pretty amazingView attachment 337030View attachment 337031
Then you get amazed at the fact that an engineer made a brilliant decision to put a man way at the very top of the vessel to make chevron inspections and heat dissipation easier, only to have to deal with the fact that they didn’t put a hinge on the door. View attachment 337032
But the view from home and a cold brew is pretty relaxing after dealing with all that.

If one goes, they all go or your happy ass is climbing all the way back down to retrieve it or get a new one. Everything has to be the same. Food grade. If something is missing a washer, it either A the others need one or B it needs removed.Id kick every washer through that bar grate like a boss.
I didn't mean I'd do it on purpose. If one goes, they all go or your happy ass is climbing all the way back down to retrieve it or get a new one. Everything has to be the same. Food grade. If something is missing a washer, it either A the others need one or B it needs removed.
No! That's where my parents shopped, & the Men's store a block or 2 over. Don't recall that name but they had suits & shoes. As kids, we always had to go with them on Sundays, when Mom would do "window shopping" uptown. {we hated that!} Stores were closed on Sunday!Wonder if N Tryon st was as ruff back then as it is now?
