Random pic thread.

@Jody Treadway while you were in sparkle city, I was in Regenesis healthcare in the background of that photo rebuilding an antiquted piece of switchgear
I would have loved to catch up and have dinner over at the Beacon. But I was with a super cute vegan who was ready to get out of a multi county tornado warning 😂

Beacon is way over rated anyway.
From there Wade’s would have been the move. Home cooking - garden fresh veggies- meat and three or they have the “vegan just three “…. But yeah the sirens sucked …all night

Report back in a few weeks, please
Today's report: removed some pimping rear leather heated seats and installed dog beds, door panel gob stoppers and pillows.
Dogs love the better rear AC vents.
Ordered GN hitch today. Gonna hack the bed this weekend

I admire your willingness to hack upna new truck... If I could locate an extcab shortbed with the 7.3 and FX4 package I would be doing the same thing

I think Lake Keowee Ford had one last weekend. But...they add on $5k over sticker.
Hah. Definitely thought you were talking about a 7.3PSD, not the new gasser.

I got a little something for my pillaging and raiding ancestors a couple weeks ago. Thor's hammer with Odin's ravens.

BTW. The shin freaking hurts to get inked. Usually I can read a book or listen to music and distract myself from the annoying pain. This time it felt like someone was filleting the flesh off bone. I couldn't even read, just sat there and watched myself hurt.

That’s pretty freakin’ cool!

Anybody almost take a dove between the eyes?
My wife and I like to go geocaching ( high tech scavenger hunting - geocaching.com ).
We are doing a challenge trying to find at least one cache in every county in NC.
That's why I was near the Tail Of The Dragon a couple of weeks ago.
This weekend, we went east.
While looking for a hide at a historic old church a dove busted out of a cedar tree .... had I not dodged it it would have hit me!
Here's why ......

If you look close you'll see a nest with 2 or 3 babies ..... we moved on and looked elsewhere.

Amateur radio has "special event stations".
We celebrate holidays, events, or locations by setting up and operating under a unique callsign ( usually ) and make the occasion known.
It's really just a reason to get on the air.

Every week of the 4th of July ( 1st-7th ) they have a "13 Colonies" Special Event.
Hams in the original 13 colonies get on the air for 7 days for others all over the US and world to contact.
For the other hams, the challenge is all 13 for a sweep and 3 bonus stations.
For the special event ops .....it's who makes the most total contacts.
This year NC, operating as K2J with 30 or so individual ops won the total run and we got these plaques.
