We finally got some rain out of that. Been needing it.

The lightening fest from 5-7 last night here in Clemmons was the worst I've heard in a few decades. I think the last time I heard activity like that I lived on a granite vein on Oak Grove Ch rd
I was certain my house was stuck yesterday. Hair stood up on my arm and a few seconds later, flash and deafening crack at the same time.
No idea how much rain at the same time but it was a lot

Must have been the same cluster that moved through Hickory. They had 2-3 roads that were under water for a few hours, out of creeks that had almost seemed to dry up this summer.

There was a crash on i76 westbound so we ducked around on secondary roads to hit 77 south.

Did almost 1100 miles in 18 hrs yesterday. Left the house at 4:52am, and rolled back in at 10:57pm. Managed 60mph avg speed including renting a car at the Charlotte airport, test driving and buying a car in Streetsboro OH, dropping of the rental at the Akron-Canton Airport, eating 3 meals, stopping twice for fuel, and stopping by my cousins house and chatting for 15 minutes. Not bad.

Well, the Ford Ranger isn't for just any kinda man, it's the for the manliest man. I used to tow my stump grinder with my 4 cylinder ranger all the time. I mean, I could probably tow a low boy with a dozer on it, but I don't like showing off.

I wanted to fly, but as of Thursday evening,, there were ZERO seats on flights from CLT to CLE or CAK before 8pm Friday. At 8am Friday morning there was 1 seat available for...
