I got about 3cu yds of homemade black dirt. Composting isn't such a bad thing. I'm not an eco nut but my garden loves this stuff.....

Its better to keep them out than to put them in. The less organic compounds in the mix the less methane and other gasses that are produced. It also reduces the amount of "fill". Read this article a while back....

Posting a paper from the "Composting Council" about why you should compost is kinda like posting a paper from PETA on why we should treat animals ethically
