I don't know if we have a tool review thread anywhere but Ive got to say something about this chief big dick air hammer... have had it about a year and it barely looks used because it only takes 3 seconds to knock out whatever dumbass thing you've spent 30 minutes with a 5lb hammer on. I've got several IR air hammers and its like comparing a ryobi impact driver to a 1/2 milwaukee impact.

Anyways if you want to never worry about a stuck pin, bolt or bushing or whatever again then buy one of these and some pin drivers for it.

Spent the first half of my Easter Sunday day shift doing a temporary splice on 4/0 motor feeder cable. Sometime on Saturday night shift one of the motor lead connections shorted out in the peckerhead due to a poor tape job by someone in the past. It it evaporated the lugs and several inches of 4/0 wire. The peckerhead and flex conduit was full of balls of molten copper. We cut the cable in this pull fitting and replaced it from there to the motor. Later on the 3” rigid will be cut and a permanent splice box put in and that section of wire replaced.

In hindsight I should have staggered the splices so they fit in the fitting better, but the cover bolted on flush with nothing pinched.
