I’ll take this victory. 8’. Pretty sure it’s a utility pole anchor. Already started putting dirt back in the hole.Since you went that far you should dig the end out now don't let it defeat you now. lol How long did it up being?
It's definitely a guy wire anchor. Are you going to paint the tractor?I’ll take this victory. 8’. Pretty sure it’s a utility pole anchor. Already started putting dirt back in the hole.

Posted this in my tractor thread. Had to winch it out with the Jeep.
Probably not anytime soon. I still need to figure out a way to get the brakes working. The Ferguson rear makes it a little more challenging. It's definitely a guy wire anchor. Are you going to paint the tractor?
There's a time and place to throw in the towel buddy. Of course, I've seen your XJ. So that's a lesson you're yet to learnAny bets on how deep I went before stopping yesterday? That’s my shovel in the hole. I then went at it with my post hole digger. I’ll circle back when I have a mini x on site digging out these stumps.

Love those trucks. Have had 8 of them . Daily drove a lowered 56 for a couple years back in the early 2000s
Decent DJ quality TT. But those speakers.... Klipsch are some nice speakers. Lascala's are the top of the Klipsch line and High $$$$.
Are you shingling over drywall? I thought ship lap was the hot poop currently. My 10 year old said he was tired this morning and didn't get dressed before his mama left for school. I gave him the option of work clothes or school clothes and a run down of what we would be doing........I'm working alone today

Why?? just the amount of work involved??I’ve been avoiding air ride
Cars torn apart for a trans build… I’ve been avoiding air ride but not much choice. So here goes nothing.
Why?? just the amount of work involved??
I had a uncle who him and his brother built some real nice street cars and they were all carb'd.I ask him about one time and mentioned reliability as the reason for staying w a carb.He said he could change a carb in any parking lot in the country.I would think their would be worse places than FL to have air ride problems.I guess the reliability. I’m a fan of mechanical components. Dont want a busted bag or line leaving me stranded in Florida. I drive this car a lot when it’s stays together. I am prepared with a lot of line repair parts and a spare bag. But air is much better as I can adjust for different circumstances and luggage
Smart man! All my builds I do try and use any part I can that’s readily available. Make a note pad with part numbers and all. I will get online and play for hours to find a brake hose that will work in a factory application. Say a ford explorer brake hose on my 1960 impala disc swap.I had a uncle who him and his brother built some real nice street cars and they were all carb'd.I ask him about one time and mentioned reliability as the reason for staying w a carb.He said he could change a carb in any parking lot in the country.
