Facebook vomited this into my feed today:

I wonder if the "skillful friend" is his ex-wife...

THE SKOOLIE NATION

Looking for supportive advice!
We live on our property in southern Oregon(bus is stationary). Left for work yesterday and arranged for a skillful friend to come help level out the bus and this is what I came home to last night. Both front tires are a few feet off the ground and the passenger side tower looks like it’s about to collapse inward. I’ve put feelers out to call in support from other community members to come correct the problem. I’d like to get some opinions on what the best way to level out the bus would be without moving the bus to get heavy machinery in here to level out the ground since that’s not an option right now. Does the bus frame need to be resting on semi-jack stands along with a wider support under front tires, for ultimate support of front end for longevity of bus but also our safer too?(FYI the green thing on left is just a broom on ground that got knocked over when they moved everything around)

Feel free to comment or message anything kind or supportive that can help me troubleshoot to find a solution.

Ugh. Had to pull the starter on the 8n. It came apart, had to use nails to hold the brushes in.

If you want to get it rebuilt, Carolina Auto Electric in Charlotte is awesome. They rebuilt my starter for my 53 in a few days. Came out looking brand new. Cost was $138. Super helpful staff. I'll be taking the generator to them to go through as well.

Those guys have rebuilt a few starters and alternators through the years and are always a pleasure to deal with.

Cut out of work early yesterday since the kids were out of school and the weather was halfway decent. Went home a built a new dirtbike loop in the woods right behind the house.

Roughed it in with the mini-ex (have I mentioned how awesome it is to have a 6-way dozer blade on an excavator?), then walked around with lopping shears and chopped all the roots and low limbs, then did a few laps with the RZR to polish it up. Its amazing how much wear a SXS puts on it, but it was great for prepping it for the kids. This was like an hour after I finished with the tractor.

Older kiddo was really enjoying this jump. Didn’t get a good video, but he was getting about 1.5-2ft of air, which was huge to him and he was so stoked about it.

Dang, that's a pretty good price. I've got a guy in elkin that's done a couple for me, but he's a good bit more. I just messed up taking this one off though, don't think it needs a rebuild.

Yep, some builder started building the house many years ago. Apparently he had money trouble and ended up in jail for a while. The house sat vacant and unfinished for several years or so. Dee Snyder bought it about 1.5 years ago and is finishing it. I have no idea why he is moving to the Oak Ridge/Stokesdale area.

Makes me wonder what kind of block he lives on......
That house is one of only a few exceptionally large houses on that road. It is about 10,000 sq ft with something like an 8 car garage. The rest of the houses are more normal.

I was cleaning the gutters this afternoon and grabbed a couple “aerial” shots of the new dirtbike course from the roof.
