The outer field is 100+ year old wood. To keep that patina the interior needed to contrast heavily. That entire floor was a major pain in the butt to finish. I tore out an entire room and cleaned the nails to make it look like the inlay was put down in the middle of an old floor. Next time will cost double!

What wood you got in the middle?

This reminds me of watching Mud run around the camp at unf holding a highlift at port arms and back and forth. He would pull the detent lever and walk around acting all Ramboed up. We were drinking a bit but it was hilarious. Mostly since Mud doesn't devolve often into shenanigans. He keep chanting highlift is your friend, you never leave without your friend, keep your friend clean bla bla bla. Might have had to been present.

Not sure just saw the pic on the inter webs. Must be some serious sloppy bearings or steering. @ManglerYJ

Yea, all that just gives "drives like a slinky". I experience this every several years as I have no sway bars, nor trac bars, on a more or less stock steering setup. Does give the 'ol "I think I'll turn left", umm "Doesn't seem to be turning left," I guess I'll turn more "hmmm, maybe a little more," oh, crap too much "back the other way," etc.....

When the only thing connecting your hands to the ground is a set of bushings... you learn how to drive a Jeep... :D
