Random pic thread.

Had to go help my dad chick a log cabin this weekend.... 45 minutes on a gravel road you end up in a nice gated community with private rites to the river. Full of wild trout.
Even the dog wanted to help fish


Had to cross the river and help the guy in the blue explorer get it started and cross back before the river got up to high. Was well worth the 175 dollar bottle of Scotch he gave me.

Bought a 97 Ford 7.3 last night with a ZF5. Started changing the fluids today. Finished draining the transmission and stuck my pinky finger in the hole to feel for metal shavings. Never would have thought I would feel this.

First trip out on the river since his dual hip replacement surgery. 3 years it's been since he's been physically up to going. He said the word and I made it happen. The OG River rat. My dad. Coolest mofo I ever met!
The river is glad to have you back. You've been missed very much, sir.

I suppose a previous owner had the transmission open at some time and someone dropped it. Hope that's the only interesting thing I find.

Dad's built dovetail log cabins since before I was born. Cement and latex chinking have been something I've done for many years now. We have a machine that pumps the latex chinking outta the 5 gallon buckets into the chink joint way faster and cleaner than anything else on the market

Congaree ~5 miles up from 601. We went about 21 miles that day stopping at every sandbar going swimming. His therapist said swimming is a great exersize for his legs. He got out of his second surgery 3 weeks ago and is already walking normal.

That I have no clue about I know all the property surrounding it is in a land trust. I believe it also depends on the game warden what is considered navigatable. I know they have full time care takers security that protect the property. My guess is you'd be arrested for traspassing not for fishing illegally
