Well, I'm sure there's nobody going around checking IDs and dragging people out. So why not just stay?
From that standpoint - out there - probably a GREAT time to be there. No tourists!

Had some friends that rented a house on Ocracoke through the weekend. They absolutely were doing that, going house to house and denying service to anyone not a resident at shops/restaurants. They brought gensets to the island, keeping non essential people out so as not to overload them as well as what everyone else said. Sucks all around.
