Another Saturday evening chasing sunsets.
Wateree/Catawba river cleanup was a breeze. Barely came 1/4 of the way of filling up the Trasharoo and still, that much less rubbish laying around.
Several miles up, a large German character playing in a mudhole.

And there's the sunset.

A friend rescued a baby great horned owl that was blown out of its nest back in April. It has been at the Raptor Center to be raised and rehabbed. Tonight was the release party.

I got a backstage tour of the center a while back, and that place is really awesome. I need to plan on going back sometime, see if anything has changed

We let the owl out at Crowders Mtn golf course, which is where it was found. It was a great night for him to start hunting:

That's awesome. That owl is really grateful of your friend actually doing the right thing and taking it to the raptor center. I had to volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center at Lee's McRae College. Alot of people will find raptors and other wildlife injured or abandon and they will try to raises it with out knowing what to do. Then when it isn't getting better they finally take it to lincesed rehabilitator. A sad truth is when people don't bring them in right away they don't survive. And yes we party also when we release animals especially ones that weren't likely to survive.

Has gotten mid 40s mileage and with turbo power too.

Now let's not get too crazy here....youre getting up there in "3rd gen Cummins pulling a 44ft enclosed" territory with that kinda TALK

My 2002 PSD did get 19mpg pulling my 12' trailer 185 miles home Saturday from Surry Co.....

I guess overall it is down hill though....
