I grew up walleye fishing on lake Erie. We always trolled for walleye. But never in a tournament. Grandfather had a 22 foot Sea Ray. We ran six lines 3 for each person is all you are allowed.

i may have to pick your brain about trolling for walleye once i get the boat setup this winter. fished for walleye alot growing up in the mountain lakes but always at night under lights with an ice jig..... but that hasnt worked well for a while now since a different shad was released in the lake

They are very fickle. I remember one year we painted all lures purple. Largest I caught was a 9lb on a yellow bullet. That was 30 plus years ago. I got spoiled salmon fishing in lake Michigan and Huron.
Funny thing when I moved down here. People were fishing for Cats. We would through them back anytime we caught a catfish. I thought NOBODY ate them.
@Loganwayne@XJsavage I grew up in Williamsburg Michigan and still have family there. My folks run an Air B&B at their house. I know I could get you covered on a place to stay if you wanted to make the trip. Within 5-10 miles is Lake Michigan, Torch Lake, Elk Lake and a dozen other awesome fishing lakes at your disposal either open water or ice fishing. Not too sure about gear and a boat but a place to stay is solved lol.
when i was a wee lad we went to visit my dads buddy up in traverse city. spent the weekend on his boat out in the bay and lake. caught a whole bunch of lakers and one salmon. when we got back to the dock the buddy grilled that salmon right then and to this day best salmon i've ever tasted. my pops was a yooper so we wound be in the u.p. often. he caught a lot of pike and walleye up there.

I'm totally down. I'd need a solid month to plan it even if I flew. I could always take the Yukon too. What is the best time to be up there fishing? Spring? It can happen.

Neighbor lady needed a few bags of pea gravel. 66 to be exact. And 2 bags of mortar. 3288 pounds of cargo.
And of course the lad at Home Depot wasn't the best forklift driver, so it was at the very back. I was a light bar and some stretched wheels away from the douche mobile thread.

Was never much for pike. I always finished for trout, bass and pan fish (crappie, smelt pumpkinseeds, red ears). There are endless online resources and I'll see if I can ask around though. Unfortunately most of the guys I grew up with are gone from the area.
Over in Oklahoma for the weekend and went up to The City. Had a chance to try out one of the Tesla charging stations for the old girl. She liked it way better than that nasty old diesel fuel. I stuffed the cord up the tail pipe cause I couldn't make the connection to my block plug-in.
Have you looked at my rig? Dents and bent steel don't worry me!
I like them where they are. They have never hindered my approach or anything like that.
@Jody Treadway saw you guys coming down i40 westbound near Black Mountain around 5:30. I was headed eastbound in a non descript white truck with nothing behind it.I waved and you didn't wave back. I'm highly offended.
