19 years ago, when I turned 30, I was in the market for a new mountain bike. I was dead set on a front suspension only bike. The shop owner told me, “Look, check your ego. You ain’t 25 and you sure as hell ain’t 18. That full suspension bike will treat your body so much better. You may not be hurting today, you may not be hurting tomorrow, but at some point it’s gonna catch up with you.” He cut me a great deal on a end of model year full suspension bike and I rode the hell out of that bike for years. A back injury at 43 took me out of the game, but I loved riding!

@tlucier a full suspension bike is definitely in the plans. Way too manu great bike shops within 5 minutes of here...
But so is selling our other house, putting a roof on the new one, building a shop and rebuilding the Ranger over the winter.
Gotta prioritize.

I hear you my man. I’m in the same boat with other hobbies. And you do have way to many great bike shops out there! Whenever I’m out that way I stop in to drool on the bikes and see what shiny things grab my attention.

Make sure you holler next time you're up here and we'll discuss all things bike and Jeep at Oskar Blues

05 aviator.. FSM says remove motor to r & r cylinder head... Umm, it can be done in frame.

Now if my cloyes timing set from Rock Auto had included what it was supposed to, it would've been back together.. it was missing the timing tensioner I needed for the secondary chain on the head I pulled. Grrr.

That's the only downfall of rock auto. If something is missing or sent wrong or a warranty issue you are stuck waiting on shipping while the vehicle is down.

Found some neat stuff during a junkyard trip down towards the river basin. We got paid to go dig around looking for machine parts and inspiration.
Found a very very old well drilling rig. Cool on so many levels...
