Looks a lot like my Dana 60 axle from my F250 70's era truck? Is it something like it?When’s the last time you saw one of these??

Yeah and no.Its from a 75/76 F 250 and was what ford used before they went to the hp snowfighter axles. Its dsd,lo pinion, uses a dodge, chevy carrier and gears,is 35 spline but the shafts neck down to Dana 44 size and spline w a big(about dana 60 size) axle joint.Takes 44 external lockouts. Its a bastardized axle but there's folks looking for parts for em,believe it or not.Look at the beefy inner C's.Looks a lot like my Dana 60 axle from my F250 70's era truck? Yep,they were marginal at best. They had a man steering box w a power directional valve and a cylinder.I apologize if this is a stupid question, but is that factory hydraulic assist steering?

Its stupid to act like you know when you don't.The only way you learn is to ask,or break it or mess it up.I apologize if this is a stupid question, but is that factory hydraulic assist steering?

I agree.
I usually go with mess it up, then break it, then ask.
But it's good to learn things in a non destructive way also!
Pop opened up his trunk this morning. He had a cooler, tools, spare tire, food, chairs, buffing rags, a jacket, and some other miscellaneous crap. Still wasn’t close to being full. That hood is longer than the table pictured in "the last supper", and the trunk could easily fit 6 bodies
[I friggin love it]
Back in 1985 you could buy a Chevrolet outdoorsman package. Came with truck Winchester model 94, gun rack and everything else you see in the bottom picture. Could u imagine if they tried to do this today!
