Random pic thread.

Back in 1985 you could buy a Chevrolet outdoorsman package. Came with truck Winchester model 94, gun rack and everything else you see in the bottom picture. Could you imagine if they tried to do this today!View attachment 278368

I'd come w AR and be totally badass.

Started a little remodel on the kids playset. Random width fake slate roof. I'm going to make a door and maybe a window with shutters. Side it in cedar shake.

Back in the day you could get a IH scout w a M1 Garand.

That was back when you could get a Garand out of the wooden barrels at Roses and Maxway $40-$50 each.
The last time I looked into a IH marked M1 they were as high as 2500/3K.

I remember those days. Nobody freaked out when you picked one out and walked to the check out counter either.

And when we all had a rifle in the rear window of our trucks in high school and no one ever thought anything about it.
And the murder rate was higher than it is today, yet nobody thought the world was going to hell in a hand basket because of all the shootings that were reported.....because they were NOT all reported.

Today? Somebody robs a convenience store in Montana and shoots the clerk? We'll see it either on the news or on social media all over the country. School bus gets a flat tire and blocks traffic in Kansas? We hear about it in Raleigh. Etc.

People's perception of how things are has more (IMO) to do with how things are reported today than what the reality actually is. Imagine if we had the internet and social media in the 60's, when the murder rate was much higher.

Dang, hate to see that, but glad they got her fixed up. For future reference, where is this trauma vet?

Carolina Vet Specialists in Huntersville - near Hambright road. Apparently being a level 2 trauma center is a big deal and it takes a lot to obtain that certification. Didn’t realize we had one close. I live on Mt Island lake so jumping on 485 I was there in 15 mins. She was taken into surgery less than an hour later. Open 24/7 365

That sucks. Do they go back in and remove stuff after it sets or does it not impact anything as she grows?

Plates and screws stay for life. They say with her age she’ll heal just fine and unless you look for it you won’t notice any change in her walk / run. It’ll be just the slightest limp
