Random pic thread.

I need this sign at my shop.. wait... It may have unintended undesirable consequences. Nevermind.

Oh and random pics.. lca bolt was shifting in the slot, so I made some fix it washers.. the rear bumper/hitch is made with 2x4 tube did slid up in the frame with 5 books in it, three in the bottom, one on the side far in, and the leaf shackle bolt penetrates it. I did it that way since from where the bumper was mounted prior tore about 3.5" of the uni-rail. It's solid now. It was a repurposed hitch and reused bumper. The hitch mounts between those 2x4 and the bumper was welded on after. I'm thinking of making a template for the 2x4 as it's a great way to mount the xj rear bumper solidly. My bumper is done the same way but I added tabs to catch the stock bolts for the stock bumper.

Yep, she cleaned up pretty good. And even got the rear wheels rolling!

Well, this is my first attempt at serious sheet metal straightening without replacement. I've got 2-3 hours in this. It was displaced towards the rear about 4-6" on the driver side, tapering to 1-2" on passenger side. I think it'll work once I get a new grille, head light buckets, and hood. I think the fenders & bumper will be ok. Opinions? I'm no body guy, but looks like it will work ok without looking knackered.

Well for once, I was happy to find a blown intake gasket. I hope the head isn't cracked too, or I'm not sure I'll finish fixing it. 2000 f150 v6 4.2 auto 2wd rclb. But hey, it's mine.

Ok so I need a head and marker lamp, and maybe a stock bumper or maybe I'll build one.. probably just stick with a stock junkyard one.

Granted, either the number of people who camp regularly on the Santee river is declining, or the regulars are finally getting the message, but even still, 40 lbs of trash that I can stop and pick up in 10 miles of river in one day is common. This time two years ago it was nearly 100 lbs on the same stretch/same river.

Hats off to those many who clean up our trails while I venture outwards to the waterways.

Spread the message. I can't do this alone.
