This is true. Been casually looking for an older ~40hp with a loader in decent shape at a decent price.

Yea we must be looking for a unicorn lol Need it to be around 50-70 pto hp and have enough ass to it the baler won't push it around. Everything seems to be too small or 100+ hp... Wore slap out or almost new and too much $$$

Haha yeah. Seems like not that long ago I was routinely seeing cab tractors for cheap. I know the bigger tractors trend to go for better deals, and I'm open to them too, but my experience is the same as yours.
 
If a bigger tractor can fit your bill, buy it! Smaller tractors are STUPID money right now. I’ve been looking for a friend of mine and I can’t believe the prices people are asking for a 35-65 horse tractor that is slapped smooth in the ass with no attachments. The bigger options are high but not stoopid.
 
There is a couple of auctions coming up April 2nd that has a bunch of tractors and farm equipment. One is ProTeam auction in white pine tn. the other one is a small auction in Pennington Gap Va. Called Lee Auction Co. They will list them on their web sites a few day before the auction. I have bought several things from both auctions.

But hopefully it's the same depression I get every time we have a once in 100 yr astrological event. I forget about it in a day or so and am back to blissful ignorance.

This and when someone gets all quick and the grip doesn't land. It's like a moment of total awkward.
The limpy thing just makes me want to hurl.

Every now and then I meet a bear...after that grip a mental note goes down as don't screw with this one and or this is my kinda people. You know the fella you meet that has worked hard his whole life and has paws because he earned em with every grip.

Sadly as I get older my handshake hand has suffered a lot of injuries. My thumb joint at the palm is always in pain. Pulling a welding glove over it is hurting more and more. I handshake just right shoots pain into my hand.
Middle finger middle joint same hand, same thing.

I actually damaged that unit squeezing the crap out of some vise grips. She popped in an unusual way and shot pain down my palm. Hasn't been right sense.

Milton Whitley. He's in his 70's now, but in 1995 when I started in engineering he was the first electrical engineer I worked with (I'm plumbing/mechanical) and we worked closely with him for years.
He met me within the first month. Shook my hand and nearly broke it 😲 never in my life had anyone given me that death grip handshake.
No apologies, no acknowledgement to the hand. I knew it was a test. I knew I couldn't show weakness but this MF just made it impossible to rub one out for at LEAST 3 days 😭
Next time I was prepared. He was proud. I could see it in his eyes. But he was so much stronger than me. This will take dedication!
I started using those grip trainers.
Over the years I learned how to move in faster and get the upper hand. Then..one day it happened. I made him wince and back down. I was proud but at the same time I was ashamed of myself. I just beat my handshake hero.
He acknowledged that I'd finally done it. After that his handshakes were just firm and not death grips.

I hate “wanna be rich folks” we seem to run into a lot of them around asheville. This town house project is full of them. I just can’t stand dealing with them they act like I owe them something. Bitch you ain’t rich you living in a townhouse on the golf course looking at the double wide across the creek.

I’ve also realized the real rich people are usually good folk who want it shot straight to them with no bs or sugar coating.

For the most part I agree, but I know a lot of people who feel they should be treated better than everyone else because they have money or think rules don't apply to them for the same reason. Not all, but a good amount.

And CHEAP!!!

I've got friends that live a very blessed life....HUGE home, all the "stuff" you could ever ask for, but you meet them outside of their neighborhood and you would absolutely think they were living paycheck to paycheck. VERY frugal people. Usually extremely humble. And unless you're very close to them..you won't see their house. And won't buy ANYTHING unless it's cash.

The polar opposite from the people that want to make you believe they are rich. Those folks will usually will be dressed in underarmor/gucci/versace EVERYTHING head to toe, and have the most current vehicle, with the most expensive rims. Their main goal is to Kardashian you into being envious of their "wealth". But it's all a facade that's financed. Everything about them is usually fake. Especially their personality or concern for others wellbeing. Their only concern is their own image.

No no those are the people I’m talking about, yes they can afford to make payments on their million dollar house and Porsche.

The real rock people are the ones that write you a check for a million and say tell me when it runs out and how much more yoy will need to get what I want.


I’ll let you guess which one cooks lunch twice a week for our crews

I knew some of these folks back in my racing days.
Looked like you and me .... almost looked homeless.
But when the stuff hit the fan they would reach in their pocket and start peeling off hundreds like a head of cabbage!

No but it would've made the taste a little less repulsive.
I was expecting something similar to a mild anchovy. They have a really strange chemical taste to them. And the bones get stuck between the teeth. I ate five in total. Two were dead. I've never heard of anybody eating them before so I figured I'd try it.
The fact that I'm still alive surprises me as much as it does anyone.
