Random Thoughts.....

This week's breakfast prep.

We had home made biscuits, country ham, grits for breakfast too.

I married Supper Woman. (Spelling intentional)

It's just a he beginning if it really takes off.

Home made creams, butters…
I recently made some butter with some left over heavy whipping cream. I thought the process was interesting the way it firms up and then separates.

So I bought a full bottle and made some more. Then I looked at how much butter I got out of a full bottle and compared the price of the cream… this is one scenario where it’s cheaper to buy the butter already made.

Good news is we already have the kitchenaide (best meat grinder for game imo). She started with white bread. To quote her "I've got 3 kids, ain't got time to babysit sourdough too", but I see it coming lol.
This is the recipe I use and his method is super easy.

Low stress, not a ton of throw away when you're getting it started (takes about 2 weeks) or discard. Once you do have discard, the pancakes are the best and so is the banana spice bread. I'll share those recipes later.

My wife uses her discard for pancakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and all kinds of stuff. It’s all so good.

Here’s the breads she made this weekend.

Have the people who designed the parking lots in most modern shopping centers/business parks ever driven a car? The pointless twists and turns, can’t go this way, must go that way, have to be a disabled pregnant veteran teacher with a VIC card to park here BS is just out of hand. I can’t imagine being an elderly person and trying to navigate some of these places. Especially with the ever shrinking parking spaces and ever growing cars.

I can't get sourdough to look like that, so I gave up and make it in a loaf pan.

Also, that yeasted wheat bread is better with an overnight in the fridge and baked at 430 for the same amount of time. It's too soft if you bake it at 350.

She does her “artisan” loaves in an enameled cast iron Dutch oven. It’s taken some trial and error, but they usually come out really good!

you know the vehicle sucks when all they can lean on and adverstise is that all 4 wheels can steer. that no one asked for or will use.
And the steering angle looks insuffucient anyway. If I have one of those and I want to parallel park, I wanna pull up right beside the spot, turn all 4 wheels 90 degrees, and drive straight in! :D

You need mecanum wheels.

How well do they hold up to sustained triple digit speeds?
If those digits are inches per minute, not bad at all. We do it all the time.

What kills them and your spine is rough surfaces

Unlike some people I learn from my mistakes.

That's why I keep making them.... I just want to learn more!
