I don't see a panhard in any of the non-broken pics.. not enough triangulation in the links?

that pic looks no good. ^^^^^^

better than tellico, what did you think of it?

i have never been to windrock but i have heard rattle rock makes lower 2 look like URE.

well now that i have everybodies attention, we had a blast on this trip, a few of my buddies from tennessee met up w/ me and we decided to give it a try. everything had started out good (just my opinion, since this is the first REAL trail the jeep has been on) and i was just walking up rattlerock, the wheel base seemed to be doing alright since i was not getting hung up on everything and i only high centered once, when i finally got to the ledge where the turn to the right is, (the guy in front of my made it and it was only his second time to every make it even w/ rockwells and 44's) he comes back to me holding up 2 fingers, this to me means to just hold it to the floor untill one of two things happens u either make it or break it(you can guess which one happened), anyways, on to the damage, as i was pulling up the hill, i got slung into the big rock on the right, thus causing one of the upper control arm brackets to remove itself from the axle. while at the same time popping one of the fittings to the steering ram. almost immediatly after that the driveshaft decided to let go. all in all it took us about 3 hrs to drag my ass back down the trail to a point i could get the trailer and load it up. luckily for me i was staying at a buddies house in knoxville that night and we just welded the bracket back on and had everything fixed but the steering by the time i got home the next day. now that i know the limits of my jeep i am just itching to go and concour everything. any other questions feel free to ask.

rattle rock is a rough mf. taco'd a rear link when we were there.to quote bigwoody at 4:00 in the afternoon "lets go run rattlerock real quick" damn I hate when he says that!!

I made that ledge/turn (where he broke) on 38.5's didn't I biotch :flipoff2: ... it was just dark ...lol

That place is sweet,if anyone can afford gas to go,let me know..I'm in.

Luv that place. Every time we go stay in Knox and party down at Cotton Eyed Joes. Fawking line dancing to rap music kills me.

is it 40 all the way out? has to be an easier trip than tellico if it is.

420 miles at 10 mpg= 42 gallons at 2.60= 109.20 x 2 = mucho dinero (218.40), maybe someone with a gooseneck will split it with me?

Pretty much, unless you take the 52N-connector road-I77N-I81-I40W (skips the bump around Old Fort/Blk.Mtn.)...

Once you get into K'ville, you take the beltway 475(?) up to I75, get off at the Clinton exit, follow 268(?) over towards OakRidge, and backroads from there...

I began building the Moss in Clinton and heard how wicked it was. Been twice since then... while I haven't run RattleRock & the other "OMFG!" trails, there's definitely some nice dirt up that way! Managed to come away with light damage both times... :p

I can get there way quicker than Tellico....and it's in a "civilized" area. Nice selection of hotels and resturants within 5 minutes of the trail head.

so when is the trip?

Yeah the Scout deffinately wants so of that as soon as I get my new Radiator installed and the front end skinned out...

i am definatly in for another trip that way. dont know when time will allow though. i can also arrange for a few of my buddies w/ some HUGE jeeps to be there as well, anyways, if we can all agree on a time i would love to make the trip again. also i dont mind pulling a longer trailer if anyone has one, i dont have a gooseneck hitch yet but arrangements can be made.

if some one needs some gas money and a rider, i can be that person, don't have the jeep ready for that yet and won't be for a while but hopefully itll be ready for DP next round.
