I've done a fair amount of wrenching on my jeep, I've installed aussie lockers without a problem but I've never done a gear swap before (I can afford whatever tools I'd need).

I do drive the Jeep to the trail and back and I also pull a camper so the gears need to be done right or it will be a PITA.

Looking at putting in selectable lockers, either ARB, OX or an electric.

Is this something I should just bite the bullet and learn how to do on my own or should I get it done professionally? I don't like spending a lot of money on labor but I will if it's specialized work for a reasonable price.

Suggestions for a newbie? Any recommendations on where I should get gears/lockers installed if I decide to go the professional route?

This is a D30/C8.25 combo, currently running 3.55, would move to either 4.11 or 4.56.

Chase at East Coast Gear Supply. See vendor section. Great guy, good prices and you help out a fellow wheeler.

Lee did a setup of the gears in my car before Chase was in business.. I'd trust either one.

Still going strong by the way, no noise!

Chase at ECGS!! He's done my truck and my boy's trucks and had no problems for over a year and you can't bet his prices.
