I'm sure everyone has been to one.
We met for lunch @ the red robin @ crossroads yesterday. The parking lot was about empty @ 12:15, that should have been an omen. Saw maybe 15 diners the whole time we were there, till 1:15, it was about empty. Placed our orders and 20 mins. later the food came out. I ordered med rare but my burger had no pink and was lukewarm, hers was hot. The french fries were soggy and barely warm. While eating my burger I bit into a crunchy piece of charred black meat that tasted like what I imagine charcoal tastes and spit out a mouth full of the burger. The waitress was gone. I was hungry and kept eating. 2 more bites and the coal was back.I took the thing apart and one side of the burger had obviously caught fire w charred black lines from the grill and half an edge that was just crunchy burned up meat. I showed the manager the burnt burger and he offered to get me a new one but I did not have the time for that and said I'm not paying for the burger. He took it off the bill but didn't really seem to care. I told him I don't understand why your cook would serve a burnt black burger. He did not have an answer. We've been there maybe 4 times in 2 years and the place was packed @ lunchtime and the food was pretty good although it takes forever to get the food to the table. We will never eat there again and I wonder how much longer that RR will be in business.
