Some of you may remember John Barclay of the archdale nc area. John was a member of the carolina trailblazers and a few other clubs in the area. I remember wheeling with John in his big blue CJ7 at several club rides and working with him to build it better. It is with a sad heart that I write this as John passed away on February 22nd at his home. Johns funeral will be held this coming Thursday March 5th at 11:00 AM at Wright funeral home 12 west main street Thomasville NC 27360

I hope that many of johns 4 wheeling friends can come

I will never forget riding with him to TN, maybe Dayton? Long ride in that old Chevy rollback listening to Disney music, like "its a small world after all" (yes it pretty much drove me nuts!). But he was a good guy other than his choice of music haha. From what I hear he called his pool/backyard area JB's world. Sad to hear he's gone.

No way! Man, he was a great wheeling buddy and friend. Wheeled quite a bit all over the place with him throughout the years. Good times and memories. He was the talk of the camp pulling in driving the red Chevy rollback with Rockeater on it with his A-liner camper in tow. It won’t be the same without him for sure. He lost his younger brother not too long ago in a jousting accident also. Prayers for his wife, and son Quint.
RIP JB!

Man that sucks. Heaven will be a brighter place with his smile lighting it up.
I want to post some pics, but can't seem to find any of that big blue CJ.
He always claimed ROCKEATR 'made' Kodak rock by chunking out the little stuff creating the ledge we knew and loved.

RIP John,
Wheeled with him many a time. His 3 legged dog too. Sadie?
We will miss him

I remember riding and spotting with him some at Dayton also, and seeing him at devils playground and URE multiple times. Always a smile on his face and a friendly supper nice guy. He will be missed.

Man I hate that I missed this thread, don't get on here as much!! Thought I would pass on a few that I could find.

My favorite JB story was riding shotgun with him, nasty rainy down in URE, Land Rover club coming the other direction and sliding ALL OVER the place. He back off into side, aimed his bogger in the direction they would have come sliding off the trail to hit him and got on external CB/speaker and announced, "get you all the bogger you want..." as he smoked a cigarette and enjoyed the 'show' they were putting on!

Izzy, I have a pic of her in his passenger seat somewhere but could not locate when I was looking for it.
