Sad news...

speaking of wrecks, we had a duel between a tundra and a grand cherokee last weekend on lynn road off of my street. i didnt see it happen but the jeep won. it had a crushed driverside door, whereas the tundra was lying on its roof on the wrong side of a guardrail.

did anyone see/know the teenager in the CJ that was invloved in the fatal crash on 485 last week?

I was shocked no one broke out with the outlaw, renegade lifted jeep redneck propoganda, but I guess the underage alcohol rap was easier... Either way it sucks...

And I feel sorry for ALL involved, "But for the Grace of GOD go I..."

Does anyone know how a wrangler TJ holds up in crashes?? I've always worried about how the bottom of the gas tank is exposed and mine is setting up high. The potential for a smaller car to get under there and rupture my gas tank scares the hell out of me.

I can tell you how they hold up at 60 mph when someone pulls out in front of you leaving you 40ft to stop before you t-bone the exploder in the driver side doors with no top or doors on the TJ :D

Where is Richlands???
Richland Road is a few miles outside of Lenoir off of 321 heading towards Blowing Rock.
You go in on Richland road. Paved, then gravel. Homes everywhere. Common sense says to keep your speed down out of consideration for the home owners.
Nice trails, nothing difficult. Unfortunately it gets trashed up pretty bad. But a nice afternoon drive in the spring.

I like to really scoot through the first few curves, but I always slow down around the houses just to preserve as much image as possible for us four wheelers. This is a sad story, but its not easy to wreck on a bridge at richlands, since mostly they are when you are going straight.
